I think the labels are meant to be antagonistic, especially calling someone a "cheerleader". That summons images of a woman in a skirt and could be construed as making you feel like you're kind of a sissy.
I guess - you kind of went on a tangent with the woman in a skirt thing...I think most people would view it as the generic cheer for the team no matter what angle, but ok. If people constantly support (or denigrate!) the FO in almost every case, I don't know why it would be an issue to observe that, but apparently here we are.
What should be policed is all labels because they can be negative, positive, or neuter. They just shouldn't be used.

Right now, I'm extremely negative towards this team. I basically stopped watching for most of the season. That's how "Darksider" I am right now, but I wouldn't throw that label on myself.
Yeah, I suppose you can obliquely observe that a certain board member is more positive or negative than not, but I don't get the issue with calling things as they appear to be. If someone were to say I'm more negative than positive about the team, I would agree and explain why. I don't know why I would take offense.

I think this is the part where we start arguing about fast food.

I love In N Out burgers but their fries are terrible and they should be ashamed of themselves.
I've tried In N Out 3 times. The first time in California because of all the talk...and was very disappointed. Went for a second time when they opened up in Arizona and just thought I may have been disappointed because of over expectations. Still not great. The third time was in Prescott because the wife wanted to go and the burger was actually very good but yes, the fries were old, dry and cold. Most likely had been sitting out for a while. As Chris Porter once said in his comedy special...Taco Bell admits that it's only 80% beef but it's soooo good at 2 a.m. LOL

Why shut down the board? Plenty of things to talk about.

Look, I pay a lot of money on tickets, travel, etc. Dallas, NY, Green Bay, London, KC, Chicago, Vegas, New Orleans. I get why people would be unhappy about the current state of affairs. When the team does make moves, I have to believe they are doing it to turn things around. We don't need to badmouth every transaction.

Years ago, I would get totally depressed for 3-4 days after a loss. I would be pissed and you couldn't talk to me. It took me internal reflection to say to myself, I don't go to the games and root for the Cardinals because of ME. I go because I have made some wonderful memories with my son, grandson, brother, best friends, neices, nephews, and even developed cardinal friendships because it the Cardinals. That is something I can hang on to.

I remember the year when the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl. When the Cardinals won the wild card game againts Atlanta, I was super excited. I came home after that game and said to my wife, I wanted to go to Carolina - last minute and all. I didn't care how much it was going to cost for my son and I to go. She had the nerve to say "going to the Super Bowl is a once in a lifetime opportunity". Well, beating Carolina and Philly opened the doors for the once in a lifetime opportunity.

I realize now, that it really was a once in a lifetime and I've accepted that. Sorry if you can't agreee!
See here’s where your comments attacking other posters are totally misguided. When we went to the Super Bowl our family (and that includes cheese) bought plane tickets to Tampa BEFORE the eagles NFC Championship game. People just looking to be angry don’t look at things optimistically. Though you may not want to admit, some in the bars are realistic. We look at the good, recognize it and celebrate it. We look at the bad, recognize it, and castigate the franchise for it. We look at the stuff in the middle and question it. With the volume of bad evidence this organization has stacked up over the years it should not only be reasonable, but expected, for realists to question everything - but we don’t. We celebrate the good. Signed Josh sweat? Mostly celebration on this board. For some reason some posters want everything to be fireworks and balloons with every move the organization makes (yes that’s hyperbole). Just doesn’t compute.

I was the one that made a general statement about people (yes, used the word "YOU" which was not directed it to anyone). If I offended anyone directly, I apologize. Please accept my apology!

In my opinion, the two guys we signed are better than the ones being replaced – hence better-quality depth. If you don’t agree, that’s fine.

If we are now talking about food now, Burrito Wars are going on in Phoenix and we are down to the Elite 8 as follows:
- Asardero Norte de Sonora vs The Beach House
- Elmer's Tacos vs Chula Seafood
- Tacos Chiwas vs Ta'Carbon
- Los Dos Molinos vs PHX Burrito House.

I don't know anything about 7 of them so I'll go with Los Dos Molinos who is famous for some spicy New Mexico chilis. Good stuff right there! Let me know which of the other 7 I should try!

Will endorse Elmer’s and Chula

No "tangent" here. Anyone with an ounce of emotional intelligence understands that the reception of a comment matters more than the intent.
I don't know why it would be an issue to observe that, but apparently here we are.
Maybe because it's boorish behavior and doesn't really add to the discussion as a whole? I don't know if you noticed, but I've disengaged from this board substantially. One of the main reasons is that there are certain agitators on this board who just like to be jerks to people and I came to the conclusion that I would rather just go away than deal with those people. I haven't missed this board that much and now sometimes go weeks without posting.

Because categorizing people doesn't actually add anything to the board, and just creates cliques? I think you've basically just gaslit over and over in your post LOL.

@ASUCHRIS Laugh all you want, but you're part of the problem.
Then don't interact with me or put me on ignore! Simple enough. It's hilarious that you of anyone is casting stones. You've created plenty of your own drama around here.

And of course, this is what your reaction is. Gaslight and show no accountability. No emotional intelligence.

I will admit that I used to get involved in the fracas, but realized over time just how ugly and divisive it is, hence why I dropped out of the Palestine/Israel conversation and many other very divisive topics. On this topic, I'm choosing to take a stand and point out that arguments on both sides are wrong. Quit with the namecalling period.

You can take your psychological evaluations and shove them where the sun don't shine. You don't know me at all, and your opinion holds no value to me. I'm going to do the rest of the board a favor and bow out of this little back and forth. Good luck to you...seems like you have a lot of angst over some interactions here. I hope you find the peace you need.

Oooh, you say that now, but what about 602 when he's released from "timeout"??

Now that's funny right there LOL

How bout them Diamondbacks....:)
You supplanted 11. He was our go to humor mill. He’ll still toss a gem once in awhile, but you’ve been a comedic breath of fresh air. Much needed to break the tension around these parts.
