I forgot to add.... I am a pessimistic person by nature but some of you guys are just plain negative! It wouldn't matter what the team did. Bidwill could sell the team to anyone and you'd find reason to be unhappy!
LOL. The annual “it doesn’t matter what the perennially awful management does and even though there is almost record of them doing anything consistently good, you would all be unhappy if they did” post… coming on the heels of the worst season in franchise history, no less and a DECADE of being a complete and utter joke… or worse… an afterthought.

I mean, you realize you’re castigating fans who just witnessed the worst Cardinals season ever, which is being followed up by us having the best odds to be the WORST TEAM AGAIN next year, right… in a thread where we’re signing journeymen to fill important roles on an abysmal defense?

They are who they are! It's nothing new. As a fan, we can hope they turn things around and most likely they won't.

It's your choice to follow them so that's on you! Complaining about it isn't going to change things.

Cool. So, should we just shut down the board then? This place is where Cardinals fans come to vent.

I just think it’s so baseless to say people here are mad to be mad. This team SUCKS ON ICE. They give us every reason to be. There’s just no need for the extra pile on crap you want to throw on those of us who choose to vent here.

honestly, if any cards fan was expecting different,...they pulled the "Lucy holding the football" on themselves.

as has been pointed out ad nauseum .. the Cardinals are now who they always have been.
This will not change.
what you got last year you got five years ago, 10, 20, 40...
what you got last year you will get next year, 5 years, 10, 20, 40....
Using the scientific method it is an easily repeatable result.

The cardinals are exactly who they have always been.

what amazes me so much is how many people get so emotional because this dog just wont fly...when the dog has never even pretended to have wings.

Under Bill Bidwill, the Cards always seemed to be groping blindly trying to do something to compete but were too benighted to find success.

Under Monti and Michael, they’re out thinking no one and feeling like they’re going to lose their way to winning. Just pure #patriotsway nonsense.

They’d probably be really good if they’d just hired Flores when they’d had the chance instead of Wilks.

Why shut down the board? Plenty of things to talk about.

Look, I pay a lot of money on tickets, travel, etc. Dallas, NY, Green Bay, London, KC, Chicago, Vegas, New Orleans. I get why people would be unhappy about the current state of affairs. When the team does make moves, I have to believe they are doing it to turn things around. We don't need to badmouth every transaction.

Years ago, I would get totally depressed for 3-4 days after a loss. I would be pissed and you couldn't talk to me. It took me internal reflection to say to myself, I don't go to the games and root for the Cardinals because of ME. I go because I have made some wonderful memories with my son, grandson, brother, best friends, neices, nephews, and even developed cardinal friendships because it the Cardinals. That is something I can hang on to.

I remember the year when the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl. When the Cardinals won the wild card game againts Atlanta, I was super excited. I came home after that game and said to my wife, I wanted to go to Carolina - last minute and all. I didn't care how much it was going to cost for my son and I to go. She had the nerve to say "going to the Super Bowl is a once in a lifetime opportunity". Well, beating Carolina and Philly opened the doors for the once in a lifetime opportunity.

I realize now, that it really was a once in a lifetime and I've accepted that. Sorry if you can't agreee!

Way not to address anything about you crapping on fans here for no reason.

Yeah, come back when the Darksiders go completely euphoric when the team is shining and on the up and up. Well, it might be a decade or two, but nobody gets gleeful and enjoys the good times like a hard-core Darksider.

Diggs had 85 catches and over 1000 yards. The Patriots spent the most in free agency last year. I think that worked out pretty well for them. Milton Williams was very good. Landry and Chaisson combined for 16 sacks. Carlton Davis was a starter. They killed it in free agency. That's how it's used. Not signing UDFA backup players.

He was such a success they cut him 1 year into a 3 year deal.

You do realize they just spent their way into a Super Bowl appearance, an accomplishment we've had once in our entire existence?

It's just hilarious that our biggest cheerleaders criticize other teams that actually find a way to accomplish something. Just a total loser mentality.

Look I’m down on the team, have Been since Daniel Jones lead the Giants to miracle upset at house a couple (Damn you Hyatt). The moves since have done nothing to move the needle for excitement. I like being surprised but as of right now it’s a meh for me.

The complaining is fine.

Stop calling optimistic fans “cheerleaders”
I appreciate the instinct to preserve the feelings of members of the board, but at some point the restrictions on speech seem a bit much. In lieu of cheerleader, would you prefer permanently optimistic with very little to back it?

Saying someone is a cheerleader for the team is about as benign as it gets. Can you say that someone is overly optimistic, or is that too aggressive? If someone is called too negative, is that a violation?

Seems like a lot of policing and extra work for you.

@Adrian If we're going to language police to this extreme, isn't a post like this a violation?

But when someone says this:

“I am a pessimistic person by nature but some of you guys are just plain negative! It wouldn't matter what the team did. Bidwill could sell the team to anyone and you'd find reason to be unhappy!”

It’s a-okay?

Edit: Borg with Chris.

Guess who also spent big in free agency last year? The Seahawks. Worked out pretty well for both teams I would say.

The Cardinals were 7th or 8th in off-season spending in 2025 (depending where you look)—they outspent several playoff teams. It isn’t whether they spend money or not, it’s how they spend it. That’s the issue, aside from Josh Sweat and Calais Campbell last year who was a significant addition? What they need to do is spend money on the right players and so far that doesn’t happen often with this pathetic front office.

I think the labels are meant to be antagonistic, especially calling someone a "cheerleader". That summons images of a woman in a skirt and could be construed as making you feel like you're kind of a sissy.

What should be policed is all labels because they can be negative, positive, or neuter. They just shouldn't be used.

Right now, I'm extremely negative towards this team. I basically stopped watching for most of the season. That's how "Darksider" I am right now, but I wouldn't throw that label on myself.
