2021 - Prove It
They are bodies. They just aren't good. Maybe Gibbens can be something more but...I feel these are two good signings considering. Now we have a little more depth at both positions.

Possibly. I land on they showed glimpses but also showed some concerns. We will see.I want the guy outta here as much as you do but nolan and will johnson may be really good
One team's trash is Monti's treasure.Billings was bad last year.
Will he be better than Tomlinson? That's all I care about. Monti's so called depth moves have been horrendous to say the least.Andrew Billings has been a solid NFL starter for 8 years for the Bengals, Raiders and Bears and has 109 NFL games under his belt.
Under selling his career to call him depth. He's been one of the better NTs in the league.
But he's still a NT and is only going to play about 40% of snaps so hard to be bothered about it either way. But a decent part of the rotation on a slim DL depth chart.

Diggs had 85 catches and over 1000 yards. The Patriots spent the most in free agency last year. I think that worked out pretty well for them. Milton Williams was very good. Landry and Chaisson combined for 16 sacks. Carlton Davis was a starter. They killed it in free agency. That's how it's used. Not signing UDFA backup players. These are the kinds of players FA is for. It's very rare for top guys without some concerns to hit FA and even rarer for those guys to work out.
Trey Hendrickson was one of the best players in FA and he's 31 and coming off a season ending injury. The bust rate for high value FA signings is very high.
Last year was one of the best for some time with Darnold, Milton WIlliams, Davante Adams, and Josh Sweat all working out.
But Dan Moore, Stefon Diggs, Justin Fields, Aaron Banks were also massive highly paid busts.
I remember last year we all wanted to sign Will Fries to play Guard. He had the same pass blocking grade as Evan Brown and gave up 2 more sacks.
Looking for stars or great starters in FA is largely a fools game and the house is going to win more often than not. They should come from the draft and trade.
It's a totally outdated mindset to believe you can't improve your team in FA.Diggs had 85 catches and over 1000 yards. The Patriots spent the most in free agency last year. Monti getting out-tanked by Miami already, bud. Monti trying to tank and keep his job is actually hilarious.I don't understand all the criticism towards Monti. He's building a roster specifically to land the No. 1 overall pick next year.Just let him do his job—he's good at what he does.
Probably the best in the NFL to achieve it
Should have kept Gannon around too, so we could get a new GM and a new HC! Probably would have been much more attractive circumstances for both next year.I don't understand all the criticism towards Monti. At least our 2nd teamers won't be pushed around by their 2nd teamers is what depth does.I’ll never understand this.
You don’t have good depth if you have few legitimate starters.
The Cardinals are going undefeated in the preseason. At least our 2nd teamers won't be pushed around by their 2nd teamers is what depth does.
Reminds me of the movie Major League. Who are these guys?I remember thinking going into free agency, if Monti could somehow find a way to sign Roy Lopez, Andrew Billings, Jack Gibbens on defense to go with Gardner Minshew and Elijah Wilkinson on offense, we'd be set.

Except our “2nd teamers” will be our FIRST TEAMERS and that’s why all the talk about “depth” is ludicrous. At least our 2nd teamers won't be pushed around by their 2nd teamers is what depth does.
Maybe he doesn't think he's tanking!Monti getting out-tanked by Miami already, bud. Monti trying to tank and keep his job is actually hilarious.
Have you considered that since they are all Cardinals the DL room all has a big heart and can eat Eagles? That's all we have signed! We have signed so many non-starters on the DL there's no more space in the DL room! Not unless Monti wants to start cutting his own FA signings before a year has even passed.
This is a possibility.Maybe he doesn't think he's tanking!![]()
I think in a vacuum, most of the signings are totally fine, but because of the quarterback situation, it’s hard to stomach anything. Couple that with Monty’s checkered history as our gm with no apparent real plan and it just exacerbates the negative feelings.Am I the only butthole that remembers the insane amount of injuries last year and isn’t all upset over depth signings?
Well articulated!I think in a vacuum, most of the signings are totally fine, but because of the quarterback situation, it’s hard to stomach anything. Couple that with Monty’s checkered history as our gm with no apparent real plan and it just exacerbates the negative feelings.
Well how do you argue with that?I think in a vacuum, most of the signings are totally fine, but because of the quarterback situation, it’s hard to stomach anything. Couple that with Monty’s checkered history as our gm with no apparent real plan and it just exacerbates the negative feelings.
In a vacuum, washing machine, or steam cleaner, all these signings deserve to be in the garbage disposal.I think in a vacuum, most of the signings are totally fine, but because of the quarterback situation, it’s hard to stomach anything. Couple that with Monty’s checkered history as our gm with no apparent real plan and it just exacerbates the negative feelings.
This is where I am at. The signings aren't the problem. Are they pro bowlers? No! Could we land the best players available? No! Will these guys be okay? Maybe.I think in a vacuum, most of the signings are totally fine, but because of the quarterback situation, it’s hard to stomach anything. Couple that with Monty’s checkered history as our gm with no apparent real plan and it just exacerbates the negative feelings.
Seems unable to move kinda guy. Love it.Andrew Billings has been a solid NFL starter for 8 years for the Bengals, Raiders and Bears and has 109 NFL games under his belt.
