I have been thinking Kawhi as well. That size, good shooting form, seems to have a work ethic and mental strength. Very promising prospect.
I mean, he currently has almost no ISO ability. That's what makes a star.

But he is already almost the ultimate 3&D role player. That alone is very valuable. We will learn a lot by how much his game progresses over the summer.

And Dunn is a fringe rotation player now. Some have learned nothing. I'll continue to hope Fleming can be Jaden McDaniels here. Solid 12 & 5 with lockdown defense. Anymore is gravy.

I think Isaac plays more like a 5 now but injuries have set him back a lot. Tough to really compare anyone to him due to how often he's out and what changes he exhibits when he returns.
I like Dunn and yes he has some potential still, but comparing him to Rasheer seems odd to me. He has never flashed superstar level plays the way Rasheer has.

Also I am already convinced Rasheer is going to be a career 40% 3 point shooter or darn close. His block shot ability and ability to steal the ball is already elite.

There is nothing about Dunn's game that is elite.

the big flemingo played nearly 15 minutes in boston - most were spent as a power forward with oso/maluach at center

2 blocks 3 boards and just 1 personal foul - only attempted 1 three but with book and green accounting for 44 of the sun's 83 shot attempts...

unoticed tonight (because he didn't play) - dunn

i expect fleming to come back down to earth some but i still think he's a starter sooner than later

Do we forget how Dunn started last season? A steal of a pick? Guarding the teams best players while holding them to low percentages? Shooting (shocking) lights out from 3?

These games Flem has played are akin to the hot start of Dunn last season.

And some thought Dunn was a lock to start this year. He's been a 9th or 10th man since December though.

Fleming seems much more talented than Dunn from an offensive perspective. He's better at driving, shooting, and has more confidence. However Dunn's roller coaster play has kept me tentative regarding Fleming. I think Fleming has surpassed him already but he seems to have been a steal for a 2nd rounder and I fear that other shoe dropping that caused him to slip that far.

fleming's defense is something else - when you have more blocks than fouls you're doing it right - but it's also his on ball defense - he keeps his distance and waits for his chance to go after the ball cleanly - goody uses his body to get close and make contact with the ball but fleming is looooong

tatum and brown wete too much for rasheer at times - as was ingram - as is life - they are all semi-unguardable

I don't think the other shoe will fall with Fleming. IMO, it's all about confidence.

Once he understands he has the ability to play at this level, he will be that power forward the Suns need.

Dunn's biggest issue on defense right now is that he fouls a lot, which sometimes negates his positive contributions. I thought that'd be more of a problem with Fleming but he seems a bit more disciplined and is able to recover cleaner when he's beat.

I wish I had that confidence. I'll trade ya some of my belief in Maluach. ;)

I hope you're right.

We can swap beliefs.

It's Fleming's off the wall athleticism, defense, outside shot, combined with measurements that give me the confidence.

And Maluach is two years younger with a lot of the same attributes.

Only exception is Fleming's 3 point shot and offense are progressing.

Rasheer Fleming over the last 13 games:

• 18.5 MPG
• 6.3 PPG
• 45.0 2p%
• 50.0 3p% (40 3PA)
-> 47.6% from corners (21 3PA)

Suns are 53 points better when he's on, while he's:

• unlocked small ball
• coming into his own as a helper
• finding flow as a screener

Steady.

I mean he played pretty good defense his first 15 games or so. He is now actually a bad to at best average 1 on 1 defender. I don't know what happened but he is not the same, and the sample size is much larger where he has been bad then good.

With all that said, he has been way better in the last 5 or so games, and that is very encouraging. I don't think that is coincidental at all that he risks losing all his time to other wings.

I am not saying I have given up on Dunn, I haven't, I just think his ceiling is much lower than Fleming's.

He needs more playing time. He needs more shots too. I want to see him used more often as a roller.

I said that when he was drafted. You can't teach his measurables, and the athleticism he shows. I love how we go zone on defense sometimes and they put Rasheer at the top guarding the PG. You can see as the opposing PGs bring it over half court, they all slow down, and have that WTF look on their face. Then a few try and drive to the basket and some of them get their shot swatted away, or they take some lame wild shot.

How long do we have Mark Williams and DTV for? Dillon Brooks needs to be out there on the court.

The Suns’ best 3PT shooter post All-Star (min. 15 3PA):Rasheer Fleming, at 48.1% from 3 on 52 3PAs.
nothing to see here - just a rookie fresh out of the g-league shooting the 3 better than collin gillespie who's about to break the suns season record - better than grayson allen who just broke the suns single game record - better than royce oneale who's having a career year for 3s and better than devin booker who just showed out in the freakin all star game

nothing to see here
