So much for signing for the Vikes right away. I have no idea what he's thinking about. That's the best opportunity for him. Is he trying to leverage teams for more of something? No idea.
Article says that the mindset is as follows:

Murray talks to teams that will be in need of QB NEXT year to garner interest now.

Likely sign a one year deal with Vikings soon at vet minimum.

Then, if he plays well, the market for next year is already a bit known for both sides based of these meetings.

Smart move imo.

Irony being that Kyler's people are hoping the Cardinals draft Ty Simpson instead of the Rams.

I’m not unhappy to see Kyler go, but I have one burning question floating around in my mind. Since the Cardinals are paying his salary, why not just keep him on the team? I certainly don’t know what the grand plan is re the quarterback position. But why pay Kyler bank for him to play for the Vikings or some other team. That team can use the $$$ not invested in a QB to, say, upgrade the offensive or defensive line. The Cardinals will not be able to do the same thing. It just doesn’t seem logical to massively help one team while hurting your own.

We would have had to pay him even more and guarantee $17 million in 2027 salary if he were on the roster next week.

With it being a post-June 1st release isn't he still technically on the roster next week to trigger the bonus?

Would you keep your ex wife in your house when you start dating again? How about when she does? How would that dynamic shape your life?

It's basically the inverse of the plea to authority logical fallacy. I don't expect any better than fallacious thinking. He doesn't respect any metric other than the opaque DVOA :biglaugh:
With a vocabulary like that, you should have more followers...

Tua is a bad comparison considering they have different strengths & weaknesses.

Again, weather might be a little bit of a problem, but talent is what still matters at the end of the day. I watched Tyler Huntley win a cold weather game in Lambeau despite a 107 yards/1 TD game. You wanna know why? Because Green Bay is not that talented.

Talent still reigns supreme at the end of the day. Going against a vaunted Seattle defense in 60 degrees or having to win a shootout against the Rams in that LA dome will be way more daunting than having to win a very cold weather game against clearly inferior teams across the board.
O yea talent is talent. Im just saying Kyler’s playing in extreme conditions like that is really limited in his whole football career. Will be interesting see how he fares.
