Ravens have their picks back and King Henry HAS to eventually feel his age. I could see them trading up for Love.We are for sure moving out of 3. The question is who wants to trade up?
Wow, Bye Bye Benson. So strange. And I’ve read that ML loved Michael Carter when he was with the JetsBam!

Cousins is better than Brissett and a more legitimate starter. I have zero doubt of this.
Should we sign Cousins? Man I dunno. If MLF wants him then sure?
You can think (along with most of the NFL cognoscenti) that Cousins is better than Brissett and also believe it wouldn’t make a big difference in the final result. This isn’t difficult stuff.
Is whether more data is better than less good an actual question you’re asking?
Bro this is well-covered ground I don’t feel like re-litigating it here. What QB option do you actually want?
Because he won 5 games last year and Jacoby won 1.
Kirk is 12-10 over the past two seasons with the Falcons. What is sad is your preference to back losing vs winning in support of a franchise that is incompetent. Lots of ways to find a QBOF without having the 1 pick.
With zero running game he often held onto the ball longer than he would have liked and took some big hits and sacks. This year, with a better line and some running backs, he'll be able to mix things up more and be a more formidable QB, IMHO. Drives that were shortened last year can now be extended and lead to more scoring. What the data says is that despite having no running game, and 2 of the top 3 WRs out for most of his starts, is that JB played better than Cousins. That is statistically a fact. If you remove the raw total stats, his passer rating was also considerably better. This is despite Kirk being in Atlanta and that scheme longer, and having better receiving options, a better O line and a run game to lean on.
Kirk Cousins hasn't been good since 2022. Jacoby Brissett was good last year, considering what he had to work with. Not good that your going to win anything with him, but good enough to put you in games if you have a defense.
But this is yet more obfuscation because you won't even commit to Cousins. You're arguing he better but not that we should actually sign him. So what exactly are you complaining about? What QB option do you actually want?

Post in thread 'Today’s Draft Rumor'Crap, I must have missed it. Just this one more time tell me what your plan is and which QB you want. You can just quote link it is you like.
With the draft coming up soon, we still don't know if the GM, the coach, or the owner have a college QB they'd like to take a flier on either. Just a guy to draft and see if there's lightning in a bottle...and if not draft another guy next year. Finding a QBOTF requires luck and clearly drafting the Heisman Trophy winner each year does NOT work (only two Heisman winning QBs have ever won Super Bowls).Yup. If Jacoby had Conner and Benson, and the defense didn't pile up injuries and suck, then I'm confident we would have won more games. The Indi game alone we have 1st and goal to win the game and passed it 4 times because we didn't have anyone at RB that the team trusted to get it done.
I'm not deluded though that JB is any kind of answer, but he played well this year, and I'm confident there are no better options available. I would have been fine to roll the dice on Willis for $20m and a deal we could get out of next year if he sucked as @daves wrote earlier, but otherwise I said at the start of the offseason that there were no better options and next season was a right off.
I'm not sure what people were expecting.
I hate that I am making the same argument in two threads. The Falcons were 3-6 without Cousins and with that vaunted running game and defense. Now compare the running game and defense both teams had.
The fact that you are ******** on 7-7 as a Cardinals fan is the height of silliness. And 7-7 as a washed QB no less. It's almost as if Kirk was terrible but he was on a team that could eek out wins while he was terrible.
He was so good at winning that the Falcons benched him for a crappy Penix and then ate a whole bunch of dead money to move on from him.
The Falcons team in 2024 were supposed to be contenders. They had a pre season 9.5 O/U and the same SB odds as the Rams. And Kirk took them to 7-7 in the games he played with 18 touchdown and 16 interceptions.
He's cooked.
I'm not backing losing. I'm simply facing the fact that all options are losing. There are no winning options. Wishcasting that Cousins will gets us 2 more wins isn't helping this franchise. That would be more terrible decision making and something you would vehemently complain about next offseason when were picking 5th instead of 1st and in need of a QB. I'd argue that Monti should be fired if he did THAT.
All the ways of finding a QBOTF involve luck. They involve far less luck if you are picking top 3.
Is your grand plan really "Let's pay Cousins $10m for 2 extra wins, pick lower in the 2027 draft and hope the 3rd or 4th QB drafted turns out to be great"?
Not going back through all of them. Off the top of my head, you said no to Linderbaum that the contract was too high. You say that with about every big deal. You're ok with the scrubs contracts though. I'm just glad Monti could outbid................???? for Roy Lopez. You're imagining things. Show me all these posts where I have said that.

That’s not what I said but you don’t really care you just want to argue on the net.So your plan is the 95% certainty that Zack Wilson, Anthony Richardson, JJ McCarthy, or Trey Lance get you less wins than JB on the, in your words, "small bet" that they might get you more?
And you're complaining about not trying to win?
There's a reason Simpson is a 1st rounder and those guys are 3rd/4th rounders. You're much more likely wasting a draft pick on those guys than using that pick to try and move up for Simpson.I'd much rather spend a lower round pick on Allar or Nussmeier if you want to make that gamble than use capital to move back into the 1st to draft Ty Simpson.
The fact that you are ******** on 7-7 as a Cardinals fan is the height of silliness. And 7-7 as a washed QB no less.
It cracks me up that you think your opinion is fact. They went 7-7, that's what they actually did, facts. Please give us the facts of why they were really a 12-2 team.Yeah dude, he went 7-7 with a team that should have gone 12-2. That's my point.
You are the guy some people say gets picked on? Wow.This board is hilarious.
People are stanning for Kirk freaking Cousins, who has sucked the last few years, because they think he might get us 2 more wins and rob us of a chance to draft a QBOTF.
The reality is, it's just an excuse to moan about the reality of the situation. Had we brought in Cousins on day one for $10m the same people would be moaning their ass off about us burning $10m in cap space and missing out on our future QB for the same of maybe a couple more wins.
