I’m so confused as to what this even means.Willis, Simpson, they would just be splash names IMO.
Whether splashy or boring, give me a good starting QB.

Ha! Certainly not in year one. With proper development? Could do, could do.Do you really think Allar could lead an NFL team to a superbowl?![]()
No you aren't. You know very well I don't think Simpson's going to be a good starting QB. Same goes for Willis.I’m so confused as to what this even means.

You said they would be “splash names”. Again, what in the hell does that even mean?No you aren't. You know very well I don't think Simpson's going to be a good starting QB. Same goes for Willis.
Everything about Jacoby’s recent history shows that. He can’t hold down a job with real alternatives behind him.Lots of NFL and draft writer speculation (and to be clear, it doesnt sound like informed speculation) on the Cards trading back into the lower part of round 1 to take Simpson
in some ways, this would be a Monti job extension move --
since Simpson is in no way ready, it means a year of Jacoby or Jimmy G and the record to match
going into a year with (presumably) a great QB class coming out, its highly likely Cards wouldnt know what they had in Simpson.
Yet, after a burning a 1st rounder on him (plus whatever else was used to move up) -- they would be married to him for at least another year to see him start in 17 games
so Monti probably is safe for another 2 years (five year rebuild!)
Willis is the name this FA every is chasing at QB. I don't think he's the next Darnold so I say no thank you. Simpson is the guy with warts (few starts) who people are overprojecting and drooling over after the combine. Drafting him high would be a splash. No thanks. You said they would be “splash names”. Don't you think if we sign Willis it will be because of Matt L. endorsement, at least in part?Willis is the name this FA every is chasing at QB. Haha, indeed.Thinking that signing a failed 3rd round pick is a splash move tells you what you need to know about the Cardinals.
I see him less as a failure and more like a project that took as long to develop as people expected him to pre-draft. Willis is Anthony Richardson except there wasn't any team stupid enough top take him top 10 that year. He was an elite traits guy that didn't have it all mentally or mechanically.Thinking that signing a failed 3rd round pick is a splash move tells you what you need to know about the Cardinals.
Ironically the same team has Aaron Rodgers sit behind Favre before getting his opportunity.I see him less as a failure and more like a project that took as long to develop as people expected him to pre-draft. Him having those few Packers games where he was elite as a passer is extremely exciting. Sure it might be overly optimistic to expect that to hold up over the course of a season, but if it does he has top 10 QB upside. Elite arm talent, and just as electrical a runner as Kyler, but without Kyler's issues staying in the pocket.
The stain of him having once been a backup isn't an issue to me.
NFL reporter Gery woefell is reporting tonight rumor is cards get Willis 2 years 30 per….take it with a grain of saltEverything about Jacoby’s recent history shows that. He can’t hold down a job with real alternatives behind him.
Ty Simpson would be starting by Week 10. Probably earlier.
If this happens I will look forward to seeing how it works out. Way more so than Geno Smith or Joe Flacco.NFL reporter Gery woefell is reporting tonight rumor is cards get Willis 2 years 30 per….take it with a grain of salt

Rodgers was a first round pick that was drafted by the Packers.Ironically the same team has Aaron Rodgers sit behind Favre before getting his opportunity.
Then Love sat behind Rodgers for a couple of years.
Both those guys turned out pretty good.
Could Willis have benefited from the same situation?
If Willis comes here it will be with high recommendation from Matt Lafleur. I highly doubt he would mislead his younger brother.
Every analyst in football disagrees with you. His arm talent isn't debatable.Malik Willis has zero elite traits.
