The new narrative will be, "He played OK for a while and got them some wins, then faltered down the stretch with poor play and minor injuries that lingered far too long, and totally choked in the playoffs."
Captaining this horrible franchise to the 2nd best regular season record in its history isn’t just ok.

You people can keep telling yourselves these things for the cope but like I said if he goes somewhere else it ain’t going to be pretty for this franchise.

If you think we are being laughed at now just wait till the Vikes have success with him. The media will have a field day of the lowly Cardinals being a place where players can’t succeed. I’m sure it will help with our stellar image for attracting coaches and FAs.

Buddy, look in the mirror.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. You're basically saying "the 8th time's the charm, he's really gonna be good this year everyone. The November Call of Duty release date collapse won't happen an 8th time. He's really good, everyone likes him, he's a great leader and we've never put tools around him."

I can't possibly share in your lustful adoration for a player that got his bag and now shows everyone constantly that he could care less about his profession.

Nah. We’ll continue to be ignored and irrelevant.

Bidwill should fire himself for allowing himself to get into this predicament!

Yes, Bidwill ended up making a huge mistake with the contract extension. However, if I remember correctly, the majority on this site were demanding Bidwill not be his typical frugal self and pay Kyler.(I was in this camp also) Despite the horrific final 1/3 of the season and embarrassing performance in the playoffs.

Credit to Stout who was one of the few I think arguing against the extension at the time.

You recall correctly, thanks! There were others firmly opposed as well but a lot of the board wanted it to happen. Heck, a lot of people said it needed to happen.

I agree that a lot is on Kyler, but we saw Jake Plummer leave here and get better because more was expected of him. It does happen.

I think the probability is fairly low.

Nothing says "We have great expectations" like $55m a year.

To me that says “you’ve already arrived.” Plummer got a monster contract too early also.

Literally no one holding him accountable and telling him hard truths.
Whole thread is brutal

I’d love to know what the volume is on those passes. I’m not a huge fan of EPA but my feeling (no data) is Kyler is attempting very few passes between 10-20+ yards.

Believe me, there was a lot of us up in arms over that!

Kyler’s had his chance here. He is not our QBOF.
K1 is gone for sure.

What you are missing though is that this is how DHop was released as well.

Little to no communication.

If MO cuts K1 and can’t get a trade done it’s just another example of him not being the guy to help turn this team around.
