But no,...we did in fact have one "Isreal Woolfork" in position as Quarterbacks coach for the past several years.

not sure what he ever did. Maybe worked as a PA for the QB and got his film ready for him every week or something...ran to starbucks...maybe made the calls to get pizza for the fellas...

It's not harping on small sample size, it is understanding that small sample sizes are extremely fragile. This is the definition of buying high. He was a 3rd round pick. He was traded for a 7th round pick. Even in that article it said how the offense flipped to preventing Willis from having to throw a lot. In the one game he had to throw a lot, he got knocked out of the game by a bad Ravens pass rush.

The level of risk with him is purely based upon what he costs. If you get him for under 10 mil, great. But if the only way to get him is to give him a multi year deal at a large amount of money...it's potentially another Kyler situation.

Honestly 10 mil a year for him based on the small sample size is an extreme overpay. But good for him, someone is going to pay it.

yeah maybe. That’s a crazy-seeming number. But like top 20 QB money isn’t crazy when you’re signing a FA to be an immediate starter. It’s basically bottom of the ladder of veteran starters.

Surprisingly, for some reason the Ravens just hired Woolfork to be their QB coach.

Yeah but the dude has a super small sample size, it’s worse than the Kevin Kolb scenario.

The Cards have to win next season and sinking all this money into a guy that hasn’t proven jack reeks of desperation.

They can do it if they can offset and equal or greater amount of Kyler’s 2026 comp. Then you’re basically paying the same amount you budgeted for but have potentially greater upside.

Besides the fact that Rodgers "had" a pretty good career, I'm a little on the fence if Rodgers is an upgrade over JB. But thankfully someone will let me know...

I don't think the Cards aren't an option for Rodgers.

There are a lot of ways that it makes sense for a year. I'm sure there are people here with a visceral dislike for him, but from a purely QB perspective in a dead QB market it's one of the better options.

I uused to be an ARod fan...but im kinda in the phookthatguy category now...makes perfect sense we would get him at...now... but I wouldnt hate it. Boom Boom McBride would help aaron retain a moment of greatness...and the dude would surely cause Marv to finally be all he can be....
we could get 4 or 5 amazing games that would stoke our fandom to an all time frenzy....then the injury would come and we finish the season lamenting what could have been as we watch Nussmeier adapt to the NFL and finish with a 4/8 rookie record..ending our season at 9/8, last yet again in the NFCBest ...then Rodgers retires at a press conference set in front of a peyote yurt in Sedona,....and we enter 2027 with some hope that another LSU player achieves near greatness in Arizona.....causing us to bypass the 27 QB class, with the exception of a late round pick we spend on Fresno Quarterback E.J. Warner....a legacy that unfortunately has an early career that mirrors his fathers as he fails to make the roster, until in 2030 when he makes the roster of the Kansas City chefs as a backup to Patrick Mahomes....
