Yes …. But does that count? It was against the Cardinals. He called the plays in the 1st Cards/Rams game of the season as McVay was sick. The Rams scored 45 points that game and had 530 yards of offense.

Who would he bring in as OC?would imagine LaFluer would bring Raheem as DC based on past relationship? Who would be his OC in name
That is certainly a very interesting question, BCF. Again I will go by his connections from prior coaching stops. Usually a head coach’s assistant is among those that he has crossed ways with earlier.Who would he bring in as OC?
I think that's important also
Someone to get the offense back on track and the run game going again
Thanks for the inputThat is certainly a very interesting question, BCF. Again I will go by his connections from prior coaching stops. Usually a head coach’s assistant is among those that he has crossed ways with earlier.
I think the most interesting would be Adam Stenavich, who right now is the offensive coordinator with the Packers, where he works with Mike LaFleur’s brother. His specialty is offensive lines, and I just think that would be ideal. He is interviewing with the Titans these days for the same position, but I guess that is because they would let him call plays. He would obviously not be with the Cardinals, so I don’t know if he would switch to a similar role as he has now. He once coached in Arizona, so maybe he is missing living there.
Another one could be Ryan Wendell, who is the offensive line-coach for the Rams. That is simply a good unit.
Dave Ragone is the QB-coach with the Rams, and earlier he has had a couple of stops as an OC.
Nate Scheelhaase is an extremely interesting coach, who right now is the offensive passing game coordinator for the Rams. He is having multiple head coach interviews this cycle, and if he doesn’t get any - and LaFleur leaves - I would expect that the Rams want to make him offensive coordinator.
John Benton worked with LaFleur in San Francisco and with the Jets. He is now the offensive line-coach with the Seahawks. I think their o-line has been fine this season, and it would just be nice to steal him from them.
Let's bring in Lafleur with Scheelhause (SP?) as OC.0 chance for Kubiak. We will go after L
Scheelhaase will most likely just be Rams’ OC I would think.Let's bring in Lafleur with Scheelhause (SP?) as OC.
If this is the case, it will be interesting to see who makes the call. My guess is Monti, being the ultimate yes man, cedes to Mikey. That will give him job security. If he chooses Camp and it's a failure, Monti is gone too. If LaFleur is the guy, and he fails, Monti can say he wanted the other guy.Glad everyone is on the same page!
I would imagine so. Still, worth a try. Added bonus: His name makes for a great yinzer pronunciation.Scheelhaase will most likely just be Rams’ OC I would think.
The decision will tell us if Monti has any real GM intelligence or is just a lickspittle. In no world would he survive another failed coaching hire, even if he cedes to Bidwill, M.'s wishes. Why not go with your guy under those circumstances? If this is the case, it will be interesting to see who makes the call. My guess is Monti, being the ultimate yes man, cedes to Mikey. That will give him job security. If he chooses Camp and it's a failure, Monti is gone too. If LaFleur is the guy, and he fails, Monti can say he wanted the other guy.
Big time advantage. Mike LaFleur is an assistant to the assistant regional manager.Right now both OCs from the Rams and Seahawks look good. Advantage Kubiak as he actually calls the plays.
He was supposed to fly in yesterday, but I’m sure it got delayed like alot of flights did due to the inclement weather.Well, I guess LaFleur, Morris and Campanile were not the finalists anyway.

By the way, you can find my list of potential OC’s with Weaver earlier in this thread. From the list of suggestions, Bobby Slowik has been hired by the Dolphins, and Todd Monken is very likely the new offensive coordinator with the Giants. The rest might still be available.
Maybe he flew in yesterday to meet today? He was supposed to fly in yesterday, but I’m sure it got delayed like alot of flights did due to the inclement weather.
Good point.Maybe he flew in yesterday to meet today?
I’m doubting this tug of war talk about Monti and Mikey. If this is the case, it will be interesting to see who makes the call. My guess is Monti, being the ultimate yes man, cedes to Mikey. I think tug of war is dramatic. They obviously have a slightly different preference and are willing to bring some options back in to try to come to a consensus.I’m doubting this tug of war talk about Monti and Mikey.
Monti is out, regardless of who picks the next HC and he fails miserably. If it's Monti's pick, that means he picked two consecutive losers. If it's Mike's pick, he can say Monti should have had the balls to speak up and stop him. Either way, Monti only gets one more HC failure.
I think I prefer Weaver to Morris for DC, TBH.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
