I was there. Great game, but all we could think about was David Johnson's injury. Then we got the "good news" that it wasn't too serious, but it turned out to be a sad turning point in what had looked as though it could be a spectacular career.

I was feeling masochistic today and looked up some various stats about our beloved Cardinals.

They have won their division 7 times. Came in 2nd 12 times. So in 106 years, we've been relevant only 19 times.

They have the most losses in NFL history at 826.

They have the 2nd lowest winning percentage all time at .419. Tampa is lowest at .412.

But since the Cards moved to AZ, winning percentage is more that 100 games under .500 and at 245-366-2 and .401, which is even lower than their overall historical percentage. Fwiw, the Browns are the only team worse than Cards during that time at .363.

So... What the hell are we doing here??

Huge mistake bringing the franchise to a transient area, with fans that have a very low football IQ. Should have either stayed in St. Louis or went to Baltimore. But then again, with a Bidwill running this mess, it wouldn’t matter a lick where they play.
PA, you're not denigrating your fellow ASFN'ers are you??!! You mean every on ELSE outside of this board, correct? :biglaugh:

Still pisses me off that the Cardinals didn’t end up in Baltimore lol. I’d have season tickets on the 50 yard line if that were the case. Old man Bidwill was not only a horrible owner, he was a terrible businessman too.

Seems you should thank him for ALL your extra $$.
You’re 100% correct. All these years, I thought that the franchise would have been far more successful in a real football town. I now know that the Bidwills couldn’t produce a long term winning organization no matter what. Even if the NFL forced all our opponents to play with 9 players on both sides of the ball.

2/3/94 - "You've got a winner in town." The Arizona Cardinals signed Buddy Ryan to a 4yr, just under $2M deal as both the AZ's Head Coach and General Manager. However, Buddy was not the franchise's first choice, Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Norv Turner was #1.
