It’s the offseason, which means it’s the perfect time to stroll down memory lane.
We take pride in our nostalgia trips at Tomahawk Nation, where we’ve tackled the top 100 plays in Florida State football history as well as the top 100 players — and even crafted a Mount Rushmore for each position and the program itself.
This time around, we’re coming to you, dear readers, to help us determine the top 50 games in program history. We’ve narrowed it down to a pool of over 80 matchups, spanning every era of Florida State and covering everything from upsets to blowouts to title-winning victories and program-defining ones. If we missed any, let us know at the end.
Also, just for giggles (to cover up the tears), we’ve also got a bonus section where you can vote on the most devastating matchups in program history, because of course we wouldn’t forget to give you a quick gut punch to remind you that happiness is fleeting.

Choose your games based on their significance, how good the actual game was, what it meant to you watching it — however you want to weigh them, it’s your call. Let us know your locks, the matchup that you hope sneaks in, the ones that just aren’t top 50 material and any other hot takes in the comments. We’ll weigh your votes alongside our staff’s and then, over the course of the next month, reveal the results. When we get to the final 10, we’ll do one last survey and ask you to rank ‘em one more time to officially determine what you all say are the best games in Florida State football history.
