I believe that makes the list as follows:

Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak
49ers DC Robert Saleh
Broncos DC Vance Joseph
Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver
Patriots passing game coordinator Thomas Brown
Chiefs OC Matt Nagy
Ex Falcons HC Raheem Morris
Packers DC Jeff Hafley
Rams OC Mike LaFleur
Rams DC Chris Shula

He’s gonna have less to work with here. Also guided Mahomes from the undisputed best QB in the league to Kyler Murray with Better PR the past three seasons.

Would rather have Mike McCarthy than Matt Nagy.
I could live with McCarthy too. I’m really trying to look at this realistically.
At least you know what we’re getting.

Perfect.
We have to start looking at 2nd and 3rd tier applicants.

Do you really think Saleh is coming here? McDaniel? Harbaugh (lol)? Stefanski? Morris? Even guys like Kubiak who seems to be a hot name right now is not coming here. They would all be better off waiting another year.

So what are we left with? Any young coordinator will be up against it and probably over their head. (see Gannon). Not only are they learning the ins and outs of being a head coach but have enough testosterone to not be “ afraid” of this division.

Or a guy like Nagy or Joseph.
I doubt Saleh, Harbaugh, and Stefanski come here. They probably won't even interview here.

I'm not sure about McDaniel. We should at least make an interview request with him.

I could see someone like Morris coming here. He did interview with us on Friday.

I think Kubiak might come here although there's a ton of competition for him. He did interview with us on Saturday.

If we do hire a relatively young coordinator, we need to make that they have a staff with at least some experience. That was a big mistake we made with Gannon. His staff was too inexperienced.

I think it's safe to say that anybody not currently on a staff who hasn't been interviewed or scheduled an interview aren't being considered.

Let’s take Morris as an example. He struggled this year ( qb problems) but ended up on a 4-5 game win streak.
So he gets fired and is going to take this job? If he did odds are he will be out of a job in 3-4 years and never get a head coaching job ever again.
I think he would sooner take a DC job for a year and look at future opportunities.
That’s the kind of things MBMO are up against.

For the record, we were never healthy in 2025. Both of our starting corners from 2024 were not available for the start of 2025. Our first round pick Nolen wasn’t available & there were many others. And that was even before the season started. We did beat a Carolina team early that turned out to be a pretty damn good team. Just ask the Rams. And when our offense struggled against the Saints on the road, it turned out that the Saints were a far better team in 2025 than anyone expected. Our offense against Seattle actually performed better than most offenses did against that defense. Murray rallied us to 2 touchdowns late in that game to give us a shot to win & our kicker blew the game late. When we lost to the Niners, Murray throws a dime to Zay Jones, which would have closed out the win & he dropped it. And Demarcado blew what would have given us a 32-6 lead, which ultimately led to Murray getting hurt & our season ending. INJURIES DO MATTER, especially for a team as young as this team. I’m a Cardinal fan & I will root for them regardless of who’s coaching. But, I’ve seen the Bidwills make mistakes like this too many times to count. They are a clueless bunch that hire the wrong candidates, fire the wrong candidates, and have been doing it for DECADES. I know that because I’ve lived it! It’s not rocket science when this franchise has the longest championship drought of ANY team in ANY sport.
Who cares if we were healthy.
Let’s say we don’t even talk about the record which is beyond terrible.

JG was inept at game management.
Hired a OC that was flat out putrid and wouldn’t fire him and upgrade.
Hired a DC that couldn’t pressure the QB or get key stops.
Hasn’t developed talent.
Let his best coach walk out the door.

Dude was a train wreck.
Let’s not pretend it’s just injuries.

8 of these work or have worked in the NFC West.

Living in Chicago their front office was a joke back then. The Bears resurgence started 2 years when their front office started acting like a professional organization.
Until we do that any head coach comes here is doomed.

We will know by the time we head into the draft how serious MBMO are “ turning this around in one year”.
Has nothing to do with our FO or who’s the coach. There’s only 1 common denominator for the sucktitude of this franchise. THE F’ING BIDWILL FAMILY. Until they no longer own this team, every conversation related to the Cardinals is 100% a waste of everyone’s time, energy, and emotions.

What do you think of Nagy?
Considering Reid didn’t come here I’m surprised he’s interested. I would think thst association would bar him as he can’t come in with an open mind.

I believe they're still waiting to interview candidates who were in games this weekend.
Having interviewed over literally a thousand people when you see a great candidate you grab them. Otherwise you may end with someone else grabbing them and you end up with a weaker candidate.

But, how do we know if it wasn’t about injuries? We didn’t just have injuries, we had the most injuries in one season of any team in the history of NFL play. I’ve watched the NFL for 7 decades. Injuries or lack there of DO MATTER. Next man up, with very few exceptions is BS, especially when you had a roster as young and inexperienced as ours. And it was Bidwill himself back in 2023 that told EVERYONE that it was that approach we would take. When you purposely gut your roster and then have like 28 draft picks, you better have a LOT of patience when your extremely young roster is decimated with injuries. Gannon was fired, and I’ve heard this from multiple reliable sources because he wouldn’t fire BOTH coordinators. Petzing was gone, and JG was moving forward with that. But, he wanted to keep Rallis. So JG is gone. Fine! But, it doesn’t change the fact that the only common denominator for the garbage that this franchise is THE BIDWILL FAMILY. So blaming the FO, or blaming the HC is a joke. Until the Bidwill family doesn’t own this franchise, they will continue to lose & it’ll ALWAYS be wash, rinse, repeat. And I have 62 years of experience to back that fact.

My point was I believe their primary interest lies in a candidate that is still in the playoffs and the ones they've already interviewed are back-ups. At no point did I say they were good at this. :D

I believe we had 2 assistance coaches that have interviewed with other teams but not for HC IIRC

I saw the real list recently and it's going to be the same as the last two times more than likely. They'll finally convince someone to coach here. It'll be a first time coach unless it's McCarthy. Or It'll be VJ who has been not very good as a HC. I'm hoping McCarthy has the itch to come back. That list was disappointing that I saw and it's more of the same. Better get ready for another bummer year; definitely not a banner year.
