Yeah that’s the piece in this puzzle that has me curious. Because there were reports that he gave away a lot of the NIL money. So what was it? Dilly? Lack of talent looming? The medical/trainingv staff?

Lack of talent I'd imagine... especially with Tyson leaving. Also, hard to showcase your skills as a QB when you have less than 2 seconds behind the O-Line.

A couple months ago, someone on the radio was speculating that the O-Line would be a reason if he left because it makes him hard to showcase yourself and the team if you’re always running for your life.

Which is ironic, considering that person’s view on another local quarterback :)

Someone called in to the local station and nailed what Kenny likely said to Sam, "More power to you. You do what you've got to do. Best of luck. Thanks for everything you did for us. If you don't want to be here, we're going to move on. I've got to focus on players that want to be here and be Sun Devils."

If Oklahoma has Leavitt, I’m thinking they might have beaten Alabama. Mateer is really bad

Kentucky and their new coach, Wil Stein-Oregon OC, is involved in serious talks with Leavitt.

A trade in the NCAA

Boley is getting 2.8 at ASU

I don't see this confirmed anywhere yet?
His entry in the transfer portal says "do not contact". Players do that when they have made a decision.

I don't think anyone saw that as a potential destination. Speaks volumes, at least in my mind, about how he feels about the coaching at ASU. Maybe he believes THAT much in the new coach from Oregon?

As a lifelong Kentucky fan, looks like we're trading QB's lol. Cutter Boley has pros & cons just like Sam, in Cutters defense, Bush Hamdan called plays like a pop warner football coach, im quite sure the OC at ASU knows how to call plays.

Will Stein is the OC at Oregon, he's from Louisville, won 3 state titles at Trinity H.S which is a football powerhouse & he was the starting QB. He & his family are lifelong Kentucky fans, UK never offered him a scholarship so he played at Louisville. He let Kentucky know he was interested in the job before the season started if it were to come open, now he's the HC. Will Stein is a QB whisperer, he turned the careers around for Bo Nix & Dante Moore, I'm guessing Sam Leavitt feels like he can do the same for him.

Interesting. Hadn’t heard the basketball thing.
Bah, that is nothing but gossip. Leavitt had lisfranc surgery, that is a fact. That ended his season. That had nothing to do with playing basketball or rolling an ankle.

This is just like someone who is jilted making up crap about their ex to feel better about losing them.

Fair. I’ve leveled that accusation at some posters here for their recent takes on Leavitt.

Seems to be a fair amount of players leaving the program. Good ones too.

Also, seems like lots of good QBs in the Big 12 hitting the portal. Not a good look for the conference. Supports the minor league status reputation.

Demond Williams from Washington entered the portal. Also has a do-not contact. Leavitt might be running out of teams, as some think LSU might be the team behind the no-contact and Kentucky filled their vacancy.

Maybe Miami would be the next team up for Leavitt to potentially go to? If it's not Kentucky or LSU, I'm wondering if the Leavitt family misplayed this whole thing.

Just got an alert from 98.7 that Leavitt is now visiting Tennessee.

I am not going to pull it up. But, back in November, I posted to not be surprised to see Leavitt go to LSU. And that was before Kiffin was named coach.

This is modern college football. It is what it is.
