This is out there already so I will post it.

There have been contradictory tweets, but they appear to have been taken down or not embedding at the moment.

We have to accept that, last season not withstanding, ASU is still a feeder program for the upper tier SEC and B1G teams. I firmly believe this to be true…right now.

This is why I really hoped that, instead of starting Sims, ASU would have handed the reins to a youngster to get reps. Of course if said youngster were to blow up, ASU might very well lose him to the portal

Last off season was an anomaly regarding transfer portal.

That's going to be an ongoing issue for every college program until something is in place so everyone in D1 is on equal footing with regards to NIL limits.

Teams wanting our coach and QB is better than the alternative. I hope he stays, but I think he is easier to replace than Skattebo. We have Dyer and Fette coming in to compete next season. The future of the program is Kenny. He is irreplaceable and our only chance to get to the next level.

I think he'll eventually get tired in the lack of NIL money and leave for much greener pastures.

It isn't about his contact. It's all the ancillary stuff. Like actually buy in from Crow and the University to become a real program.
Would be spectacular if that was the case. I'm sure the school made a nice profit last year, so maybe Crow is finally seeing the bigger picture?

It’s in his name… come on. Just like that “Imaleava” guy from Tennessee last year.

I would hope that ASU was planning on this being his last year - finishing his 3rd year and having high stock coming into the season

If things went excellent, the draft would call

Almost anything less, then a program that is built but needing a QB - grab that NIL, get that exposure and raise stock

Finding QBs is difficult and many don't progress - there are plenty of good programs that need to solution for a vet QB in any given year

I love Sam Leavitt and everything he has meant to ASU. At the same time, given our budget compared to other schools, it may not be wise to invest in him with a whole bunch of holes at other positions after this year and other guys potentially transferring. He is a difference-maker, no doubt, but without the other talent we could potentially get or keep with extra NIL $$, I don't know good we can be next year.

This is a valid point and I've heard it from others as well. A level financial playing field is needed. NIL has made college football a professional sport.

I'd like to see college football open the books for everyone to see.
