That would be sweet. Warner has it made right where he's at though, I think he likes telling a tv audience about football more than coaching it lol. I'm just so burnt out on MB & I have no faith in his ability to pick a coach.

TBF...it's not easy to answer "why didn't you get fired?" questions while also trying to not crap on a guy you have worked closely with over the past three years and seem to like.

then it would not have mattered how he answered the question anyway.

the very simple truth is, he did his best to answer the questions without throwing JG and his staff under the bus..... when we all know that coaching ...or lack thereof...has been a huge problem.

I think he is bad right now. Don’t think anyone in that spot could be dumb though.

These vaunted draft picks need to start paying off. He spun his picks to Bidwill, M. not being developed properly by JG but who knows if that is true. I have a feeling MO has a long leash on how this team does.

His next coach needs to hit though otherwise we will be gone as well. Keim hit on Arians. MO hasn’t hit on anything really to speak of except draft day hijinks.

Again, I can respect that Monti was willing to look bad in the press conference instead of dumping on the HC he hired. It's doesn't make him a good GM, but I can respect the person who makes that choice.

The way to get around that is to just not invite back the organization you work for. That's easy to do for a podcast or a blog site. But the AZ Republic is safe. You can't forget to invite the local newspaper. So it seems like Theo Mackie is maybe the one media member who's safe asking tough questions if he ever wants to come back.

Lots of digital outlets have broader distribution than the republic.
I know they do internet...but their marketing probably isn't even as strong as the average TikTok creator.
How many non Arizona residents do you think actually knows of, reads, or cares about the AzRep?

But these pure digital outlets are all marketed nation wide and in some instances have near global influence/Distribution.

I think Mike accepted the lambasting to a degree because he was semi expecting it and because he was angry too....and most of it was directed at Monti.

I appreciate a tough media as much as anybody else. But those guys passed tough and jumped head first into disrespectful...it's a shame what passes for professional media these days.

The only thing they accomplished is to make Monti totally certain he isn't wanted.

We're I he...for the next year.... every time something newsworthy happens I would schedule a press conference with these jokers for tomorrow....then hours before I would pick up the phone and break the news with someone else.
Let these guys waste their time and resources coming to a press conference just to hear news that's already pasted all over the web.
