I’m not saying JG should keep his job, but did anybody notice a difference in his attitude after he got fined by Michael Bidwill for getting in DeMarcados crap?

The most ridiculous fine ever. Dude finally shows some fire and gets blasted by his 5'6 owner, who notoriously acts 1000x worse

Not saying it will work but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Did you read what you just wrote? We just witnessed this regime rack up three straight losing seasons and you want to do that same thing over and over and over AND OVER.

He’s a HC with a defensive background. His defense has been atrocious. So, what does he really bring? You can’t blame Kyler on this one. Gannon’s speciality is HIS defense & what he has brung is an awful defense.
Right. Ultimately whats the argument for Gannon and Monti? What can they hang their hat? The only argument I see being made is “keep them because they had a lot of injuries!” That’s not a reason to KEEP anyone.

Many have said Gannon should go. A few of us said he should stay.

Now we wait to see who was right and who was wrong.

Happy New Year !!

Of course you don’t want to hear about injuries, because that would ruin your narrative. This was not just a season of injuries for this team. This was a record setting season of injuries for this franchise. So factoring in these injuries would have to be at the forefront of what produced the disaster of 2025. Why would I spend the time to write up a 1000 word essay on the good, bad, and ugly AND I COULD, for you to add a laughing emoji at the end. You have your opinion, and I have mine. We’ll just have to agree to disagree. Move on.
So, MOJG don't excel in anything. You only have one tune to play. Got it.

I think I’ve been clear they should move on from Gannon. That said. I’m hearing from more people they expect him to be retained. The only exception is if they could grab a released head coach, like Harbaugh. They would ask clandestinely if he had an interest. As to Ossenfort I believe he should stay. I thought his change in free agency tactics indicated he learned from failed strategies. Too many GMs don’t. I like his drafts better than others, believing you can’t hold GMs responsible for injuries unless there’s an injury history. Even then I like taking the gamble on Johnson. Slow and steady wins the race.
Eh, the NFL is very much not a slow and steady league. It's filled with fast turnarounds.

The 2024 team was in year 2 of a COMPLETE TEAR DOWN. They were better than 2023, but by NO MEANS were they a finished product or a playoff team. They beat every team they were better than, and lost to every team they weren’t. They were the definition of average! You people need to go back and watch or listen to the Bidwill/Ossenfort interviews when the tear down began. They were NOT looking for overnight success. They were going to build through a PROCESS, even if that process took time.
Remain calm. All is well. If Monti just gets to tear it down again, and we give him three years, he'll turn this thing around for sure!

This is illogical reasoning.

If your premise is that you had to overcome a Bidwill owing the team the proper course of action is NOT to stay the course when three seasons has proven loser-loser-loser. Repeating history and hoping for a different income is literally the height of [insert whatever word you want to use - I want to avoid being insulting]. The only way to overcome Bidwill is to accidentally hit on magic in a bottle (like Arians). The only way to do that is to reload every time it’s been proven that you haven’t done it at present. Three seasons is more than enough time to prove you don’t have magic.
Oh but didn't you know the first two years don't count? Yeah, they've like been erased from the NFL history books or something.

Many people were very sanctimonious when reminded that Gonti were 12-22 headed into this season.

It’s really only fair to hold them only accountable for results after this season. And maybe after next season depending on injuries.
