I find it very hard to believe that this team would be .500 with a "standard" amount of injuries let alone in the playoffs with 10+ wins.

How many fans that want to keep Gannon actually pay and go to Cardinal games. I have been a season ticket holder for 25 years. I have never been more depressed in watching the Cardinals than the games I've gone to this season. JG and his coaching staff don't know how to manage a game. I could go on and on but keeping Gannon is going to cost Bidwill the fan base.

Do you watch football outside of the Cardinals? In no universe is two seasons of 4-13 and 8-9 any measure of success. Again, the Pats, The Bears, The Jags JUST THE SEASON have turned it around from worst to first within 1 or 2 years with “sustained success” set up. And those are just examples from the last two years. And it’s also two of the worst organizations in football with the Jags and Bears.

And the “only reason” they sucked this year was because of injuries? Just beyond a joke. This team sucked RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE this season before injuries.

And tell us, next year, when “healthy”, how are we going to make noise? With what QB? How is the Defensive Line going to magically get better? How about the Offensive Line that was healthy the entire first half of the year and sucked?

And this is why we debate the plight of this team.
Yes the offensive line CAN be fixed this off season. And then some. But we don’t.
We went into this season hoping Will Hernandez would come back off surgery and solidify the o-line.
That’s how this team fixes things. We go bargain hunting. We sign free agents coming off “ bad years” hoping they’ll bounce back.
And as fans we have been conditioned to accept this. Evidence? Every fricken year at free agent time.
Day one? Crickets. Why ? Because we are letting the market come to us and we buy that crap.
Day two? We sign our “ big “ signing. Is it the best wr available. Nope. It’s Zay Jones ( example) HURRAY!

I’m sick of it. Are we ever going to swing for the fences? No because we play small ball. And we’ll all be bamboozled with, that team over paid, we couldn’t afford it and let’s carry 25m under the cap.

He doesn’t care about fan base. He’ll receive his 1B check from the television rights and we will end the season 25m under the cap.

Now is the time to stay the course. There are numerous examples of teams that for a variety of reasons failed miserably in one year only to make the playoffs the following year. No one can predict injuries, but without them, this team can be very good next year.

Well, at least you aren't trolling people by calling them idiots for not being true believers, so I guess that's progress. MOJG did not start at rock bottom--they tore it down to MAKE it rock bottom. They sat on tons of cap space for two years. They don't get credit for sucking and falling apart at the end of the season when they don't try. This year has shown us a lack of top-end talent acquisition from Monti, criminally ignoring the offense, especially the IOL with money still to spend, Rallis playing as conservative as a granny, and Gannon doing...not much.

If your team is otherwise good, injuries can be an excuse. When your entire outfit has nothing even close to a successful past to point to, tough ish.

That’s my point. They haven’t been unsuccessful the first 2 years. Year 1 was an open tryout, just looking for players that fit their culture while their QB1 was out until week 11. In year 2, they were almost a 500 team having played a very tough schedule & trying to assimilate players either in year 1 or year 2. This past season was only unsuccessful because of INJURIES. All I see is a team that is ready to make noise next year.

I’m NOT signing up for more of the same. If I felt I was, then I would say totally clean house & move on. I believe that this roster has serious potential and that barring another season of catastrophic injuries, they can be a playoff team.

Unless they can move up at QB I can’t see a realistic shot at playoffs. Also injuries will impact 2026. Nolen likely out most of the year. Williams should return earlier, but not necessarily 100% at beginning of the season. What will Connor have left. The number of less significant rehabs is unreal. Can they all rebound. Will Campbell return? Is age catching up with Tomlinson? Robinson finally flashed a little. Can he sustain improvement? So many questions; so few answers.

I’d be happy if they return to a .500 (I know 17 games) or so. Of course that would drop them to a draft position of around 15. If they don’t get a QB this year, could they move up enough from there even if the pool is much stronger?

The Cards didn't fire Wilks mid-season despite how bad and boring that season was.
Kliff and Whiz's firings very much justified in my opinion. Kliff lost the locker room in his 4th season and Whis couldn't find a quarterback to adequately replace Warner and so his post Warner teams were mediocre to bad.
I know don't know much about the other coaches listed.

I think Wilks was deceptive about his defensive alignment intent. That alone would be grounds.

Your points about line play are legitimate. However, most teams would consider it reasonable progress to go from 4 to 8 wins.

JG didnt even understand the QB he signed up for. It was how tough Kyler was to defend for him.

There have been a lot of QBs tough to defend for the Arizona Cardinals. Maybe JG will want Kirk Cousins.

Monti and JG already chose a quarterback, Jacoby Brissett, and the team has gone 1-10 with him as the starting quarterback.

It must be amazing having a thesis that’s impossible to disprove. We’ve gone over this dozens of times—there were plenty of ways for Gannon to live with Kyler Murray for a few years without effusively praising him at every opportunity.
