If Kyler is back it means he probably did just suffer a setback midweek before the Cowboys game and Gannon just wanted to give Brissett props for playing well the previous 3 weeks on that radio show.

That might be the one scenario that would have me questioning my fandom, keeping everyone but Petzing and rolling it back with Kyler again. Just abjectly pathetic.

At this point if they bring Gannon back they might as well bring Kyler back and let the whole thing come to its inevitable destruction next season, giving the new coach & GM a fresh start in 2027. 2026 will be a lost season no matter who the QB is with Gannon back. The team will “improve” to 7-10 because we are healthier (no way do injuries happen as bad 2 years in a row) but we will still finish a distant 4th place and Gannon will sit 25+ games under .500 after year 4. Some will still preach patience, after all he doubled our win total from 2025 and the “culture” and the “locker room” and and…

I’ve come to realize that I’ve had it all wrong about the Arizona Cardinals.
It’s not about the 17-game regular season and those pesky little wins and losses. It’s not about beating the 49’rs, Seahawks and Rams. It’s not about the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. It’s not about doing everything Big Red can do to win a Super Bowl.
Nope. I’ve had it all wrong.
The Arizona Cardinals exist as a vehicle for their owner to collect honors like a hoarder collects junk.
In recent years, our conquering zero has won the 2017 Musial Award, the “In the Arena Award” from the McCain Institute, the 2025 Governor’s Award, and was recently inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame.
High honors from truly respectable organizations.
As Big Red’s former strength and conditioning coach John Lott used to say, it’s time for me to “Get My Mind Right”.
I’m lowering my on-field expectations.
Bring on another loss against the Rams. 3-14 is fine with me.
I'm just looking forward to another off season where our very own Joaquin Phoenix continues to honor himself.

Let’s face it Stout. It won’t be long they’ll be telling us there’s a lot of work to be done. We’re going to roll up our sleeves and get to work to make the Arizona Cardinals a force in 2026.
Opponents will be circling their schedule looking forward to their game against us.
Excitement in the building will be at an all time high. Attendance at minicamps with be so high!
