His injuries are always legitimate but yeah, that was always the problem with CP3 - you knew he'd go down in the postseason.
I'd add that Paul was also his own worst enemy in a way because he wouldn't sit and get healthy because he'd rather compete. It's a difficult balance for a pro athlete. Get healthy while your team has to play without you or push yourself to help them as much as you can. The only reason he missed 2 games in the WCF were because of the league's Covid policy.

I'd say, don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
The Suns making the Finals and a 64 win season back-to-back are still remarkable.

Unfortunately, it was like clockwork.
We did win those Covid games but the larger point was he wasn't going to sit and heal when we needed him against Milwaukee. He took a beating in the final Clipper games and then facing Jrue in the Finals exacerbated his hand problems. If he sat out then he'd be bashed for not being a real competitor or teammate. Instead he's bashed because he tried to do all he could and we came up short. Hindsight is 20/20 but anything less than a title wasn't going to be a positive for him.

I didn't know anything about this, but AI, when queried about the name, says it was because Jalen's mom "invented" the name Jalen whose success popularized the name. She chose it to honor her husband and brother-in-law (James and Leonard)?
