Now Robert Williams... that name I CAN see in a Kuminga trade, but if there isn't any interest... The Warriors should have tried to sign-and-trade him over the summer. His value has torpedoed.
I am so glad we did not trade for Kuminga. Sometimes--much more often that we can imagine--the best trades are the ones you don't make.

Imagine if the Suns did not

Make the trade to get Durant.
Did not send Majerle away for Hot Rod.
Did not trade Googs and a pick for cap relief.
Did not trade Dennis Johnson for Rick Robey.

Add the KT plus 2 picks to OKC in a salary dump to that list. I'm fairly certain 1 of those picks became Serge Ibaka.

Giannis has apparently deleted all his social media posts for the last 4 years after losing last night. The last posts he left are when they won the title.

Pretty clear message he wants to be traded.

Not many teams have the assets and are winning that could make that deal though. Ones I can think of are Houston and Detroit.

OKC has the assets, but I don't think they would be interested.

For free. After which he will make a miraculous recovery.
temp recovery maybe. the highlight of his mavericks career was the first half of his first game. since then he's basically been on the bench.

Twitter is abuzz with word that the Clippers are dumping CP3.

Ugly stuff, especially after it came out he was retiring regardless. What trash franchise the Clippers are... you embarrass what is probably the best player in your franchise history so you don't need to waive... Jahmyl Telfort?

I know some here don't like him, but I think he is probably the best player in league history to not win a title.

I know I've said it before, but I think he's going to be a really good coach, but one that bounces around. Like Thibs, Van Gundy or Scott Skyles, a guy who can really elevate a squad, make them pros, but also is such a task master that the players block him out once they achieve any level of success.

OR

CP3 asked to be cut so he can ring chase. The abuzz stuff also says that they are working with him to find his next landing spot, they aren't just dumping him anywhere it seems.

This doesn't sound like a guy that asked to be cut:

He deserves better. I could see him landing in either SA, OKC, or PHX. Probably in that order of likelihood as well. I know he only spent a short time in OKC but his impact on SGA was huge and adding him to that juggernaut wouldn't detract from their success. He'd be able to provide some of what Caruso does only on offense.

I hope he gets cut and picked up by OKC. He was huge for them the season before he came to Phoenix. He wouldn't even need to play while getting his ring.

CP3 is too slow and methodical for this team or I would say pick him up as a backup. Plus, I really like what I have seen out of Bouyea so far.

Cp3 would be nothing more than a bench riding mascot on this team. In fact, he will be that on any team. He is no longer a viable NBA player. He stayed in the league a year, at minimum, too long. He sacrificed a retirement tour for a final paycheck.

LeBron is right there as well.

Majerle was cooked by then but idk why they included a first rounder in that trade. They included two 1st’s in the Googs trade. Then the selling of picks in 04-07’ and the Kurt Thomas trade. A lot of wasted assets by this organization.

Exactly.

I was listening to Simmons podcast and him and Kellerman are still buying the Lebron hype.

They literally suggested the Knicks should trade Towns for Lebron. That is insanity. Towns still has 6 good years left, I'm not sure Lebron has 6 good games left.

I wouldn't read much into it. Every time they say he is on the verge of asking to be traded he recommits to the team. It might happen but I will believe it when I see it. Even if it does happen he is going to come at such a high price the team he goes to will be gutted unless it's some complicated multi-team trade.

Maybe teams have learned from the Suns trading for Durant. Giving away the farm for a superstar might not be wise anymore.

Bron-stans are the worst.

Got told I was a hater on threads because I said LeBron, while being a top 3 all-time player, and has been remarkable for his age the last few years, is washed and needs to retire.

It seems age catches up with players suddenly. They can stretch it out and make it work longer, like with LeBron. But when it breaks, it breaks. Sometimes it is an injury they just cant fully recover from, like Kobe with the achilles, or its just the speed drops off suddenly. I think the work that it takes to keep their bodies working just becomes overwhelming.

It has happened with LeBron, and it will with KD soon as well.
