His injuries are always legitimate but yeah, that was always the problem with CP3 - you knew he'd go down in the postseason. That was the issue. He was always banged up at the end.
Except when it mattered most
But we won those games didnt we?I'd add that Paul was also his own worst enemy in a way because he wouldn't sit and get healthy because he'd rather compete. It's a difficult balance for a pro athlete. Get healthy while your team has to play without you or push yourself to help them as much as you can. The only reason he missed 2 games in the WCF were because of the league's Covid policy.
Unfortunately, it was like clockwork. His injuries are always legitimate but yeah, that was always the problem with CP3 - you knew he'd go down in the postseason.

BTW. I was wondering and now checked it out. There are 19 players in the NBA named Jalen by one spelling or another. It is the most common first name in the league.
All about the right age to be fathered by Jalen Rose. Who was the first NBA player ever by that name.
Not that there is any connection.
I didn't know anything about this, but AI, when queried about the name, says it was because Jalen's mom "invented" the name Jalen whose success popularized the name. She chose it to honor her husband and brother-in-law (James and Leonard)?I'm more curious how you came about this LOL
It's time to fire JB and bring back Monty.![]()
Detroit Pistons win 13th straight, tie franchise record
Guard Cade Cunningham and the surging Detroit Pistons, who set an NBA record for consecutive losses in a single NBA season with 28 in 2023, tied a franchise record Monday night with their 13th straight victory, defeating the Indiana Pacers 122-117.www.espn.com
Was that his fault though. Wasn’t his hand/wrist jacked up in that series?
Hard to believe they lost 28 straight two seasons ago and now have the best outlook in the east. It's time to fire JB and bring back Monty.
The fact that Monty failed so spectacularly there astounds me.Hard to believe they lost 28 straight two seasons ago and now have the best outlook in the east.
The more you know...I didn't know anything about this, but AI, when queried about the name, says it was because Jalen's mom "invented" the name Jalen whose success popularized the name. She chose it to honor her husband and brother-in-law (James and Leonard)?

Nurkic. Forever the Denver center that wasn’t Jokic. There was a time when they were both fighting for the starting job with the Nugs.![]()
Former Suns center is candidate to be traded again after solid start in new home
A year after the Phoenix Suns traded him, Jusuf Nurkić could be on the move once again before the 2026 trade deadline.valleyofthesuns.com
Does this guy know anything about the history of the Lakers? Is he on his own planet?xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
