I mean maybe Stout. At the same time, the pressure on him has never been greater.

The kid’s back is literally against the wall.
That kid has zero pressure. Like literally none he is set with generational wealth for life. What true real life worrys does he have?

He's facing the type of failure he's never even come close to facing in his entire football career, permanently losing his starting job.

The equivalent of you or me getting fired for poor performance.

If we assume he's passionate about playing football, that kind of failure would be catastrophic to K1 personally.

So he's going to be playing a game or two to avoid catastrophic career failure, and I think that would be would be crazy pressure packed.

This does assume that he still might be able to save his job here in ARZ, and I understand that might be impossible. If it's for sure that he's on his way out, then sure, he's under much less pressure.

I agree with this and understand your point about the hit his ego will take BUT If I was fired from my job with $200 million in the bank...I think I'd be ok in a couple of weeks

Assuming he is passionate about playing football is a mighty big assumption. His actions don’t show a player that is all in passionate about playing the game

I wonder whether that would be enough pressure for him to spend a few hours studying film for a change?

He's not facing failure; he's failed. Now he's just trying to save even a shred of face. Also, we already know he isn't passionate about the game. I don't see an argument that he is.

These comments about the hit Murray's ego is taking blows my mind. He transferred to OU I assume because he couldnt win the job at A&M. He started one full season in college at OU with 29 games played total. Murray had red flags all over him for those who chose to look. When you look up the word charlatan in dictionary it says see Murray. I can forgive the Big Red drafting him although I would never use a round one pick on a guy who didnt fully participate at combine and pro day. What is not remotely forgivable is to sign him to a second contract especially when you think he needs a study clause. Steve Pisarkiewicz who was a 1977 first round bust at least had height and size at 6-2 and 205 pounds. He had fewer red flags then Murray. Regardless if Murray gets an opportunity to start for someone else he needs to go into humble and being willing to evolve and embrace the skill sets required of a pocket passer. If he wont take the hits in the pocket then go play baseball.

He literally had the starting job at A&M when he transferred. He left because Kevin Sumlin was a drunk that everyone could see was incompetent once Kliff left.

Will JB reach Kyler's win total this year?
This is the biggest difference in how certain football fans think. Who do you think played better today, Trevor Lawrence or Jacoby Brissett?

A certain % of the population is dumb as rocks and would say Lawrence played better because the Jags won the game.

Probably not the guy handed 4 turnovers and scored a whopping 17 points on the day. But he threw for 300 yards!!!!!! Kyler walked off the field in each game this year with the lead or tied...and he wasn't playing his best at all. But as you can see, we don't win games if K1 isn't starting. Unless we play the Cowboys, any of our QBs can beat them

Process vs. results based thinking is always my favorite thing to observe. You'll see it with Bears fans too who dont realize Caleb is playing like utter crap because they're 8-3. I've learned theres no way to change these people, you have to accept them as they are.

Yep. Seriously Caleb plays like crap, but Chicago is 8-3. Fans assume he’s good, but don’t look past the surface to see he’s not a very good qb.

What if I said that Murray, as a passer and a runner, is efficient enough so that if you give him a +4 turnover margin like we had today, he would have won this game?

It might not have been as aesthetically pleasing as JB's 300+ passing yards, but he and DP would have run the offense so that we had enough points in regulation to get the W.

I don't say that with perfect confidence. But I feel pretty good about it.
