No there are not. You are making it up and claiming a butterfly effect that you have zero facts to show a correlation.

By your argument, Jeffrey Simmons is the worst draft pick ever. The Titans has by some statistics been the worst team ever since the drafted him.
Sorry you’re gonna have to find some tweets or reference some podcasts

LT is a prioritized position (granted not as it used to be with a defense moving their premier pass rushers around) but Paris was something the Cardinals got right, and something which would be more apparent if the whole line was cohesive and not a dumpster fire on the right because an OL is only as good as its weakest link

We smoked them on that trade.
PJJ will be the cornerstone of our oline for another decade
Garrett Williams has been one of the highest graded CBs for PFF
Those 2 guys alone make this trade a win
Ojulari has been injured for ever, but we will see what he can do
Robinson has been playing well, but still coming into his own
Havent seen jones play much

Calen Bullock had a FF and 2 INTs in the Buffalo game which is pretty much what Williams has done in his career.

Paris is fine. I am happy he is here, but I see him as way closer to DJ Hunphries than Trent Williams.

Williams has really fallen off this year. Pro Football Reference has him allowing a passer rating of 129.9. PFF has him rated 57/108.

Robinson looks like a JAG. BJ can't be counted on. I don't even know why Jones is still on the roster.

Meanwhile, I would be very surprised if Will Anderson didn't make the top 10 in DPOY voting. He was 14th last year, and he is way better this year. I'm not sure there are 5 other guys out there I would rather build a defense around.

PJJ being the cornerstone of our line has accomplished what? One very good or even great LT doesn’t change a line the way one great DE does a D-Line… and Anderson is that game-changer. He is the straw that stirs the drink of the D that’s led Houston to the playoffs two years in a row and in the running for three while we are stuck going nowhere.

Bullock is superior to Williams in every stat… passes defended, interceptions and most important games played.

Robinson has shown next to nothing.

Before making that trade, both teams were AWFUL. Since making the trade, we’ve been awful twice and below average once. Since making the trade, Houston has gone to the playoffs and won a game each year on the strength of their D and are in the running again.

But yeah… we smoked them.

This “cornerstone LT for a decade” talk should keep in mind that Humphries played for the Cards for seven years.

Joe Thomas played nine full seasons with the Browns.

Yes, Lane Johnson has played 13 seasons for the eagles. Andrew Whitworth played 16 seasons.

Nothing is promised.

You are forgetting the most important stat, pass coverage.... considering Williams was the no3 CB in the NFL and made PFF's top 100 players in the NFL and Bullock did not, maybe take that into consideration.

Williams was the no3 CB in the NFL last year
Based on one extremely suspect rating system. And he’s failed to maintain or exceed that standard into this season, which has also been injury-marred.

Sad!

I would say he's been the best of Monti's CB picks for sure. I think Will Johnson is better, BUT can he, or Garrett stay healthy for even one full season?

Calen Bullock had more production than Williams does. He's a hell of a player and he was a 4th round pick. Houston would not trade him for Garrett straight up.

And, yes, Paris is a good OT. But I would still go back in time and take Will Anderson. He is special. We will see that soon.

not sure what you mean by bullock has more production, you are comparing a safety to a CB. When a CB does well they dont have any "stats" because they are covering well. Anderson is a great player, but hes not even the best pass rusher on the Texans, that is Danielle Hunter. Have Hunter on one side helps the production on Anderson.
Given the cardinals were at the beginning of a rebuild, I would have still done the trade. We received more value.

I know they don't play the same position. I am using your own logic in comparing the supposed trade value of getting Garett Williams compared to Calen Bullock. According to you, we smoked Houston on that trade. And, that is very debatable. I don't pretend to know everything, it's just my opinion. But I think if you polled GMs and other experts they would say Houston did great in that trade. And we did ok.

fair enough, the good news is Ojulari is back on the field, he was incredible in college, think he led the cards with 4 sacks his rookie year with limited paying time. He has a lot of potential to be the long term answer at OLB, he made a few good plays last week, just hope he stays healthy.
Drob looks to have all the talent, havent seen many impact plays yet
Elijah jones; doesnt seem to get on the field much for a 3rd round pick, had some injuries

signs of life from DRob the past few weeks as he moves from Wendall Bryant territory into Robert Ndmikeche (sp?) territory at least.

On one explosive play yesterday, he shot through a gap in the d-line and made a (I think) a TFL. A really nice rep.
