Keep an eye on Josh Hoover, QB, TCU good arm, decent mobility and good judgment.

Watching the astonishing play of WRs today. 2026 wil be a banner year. Not all of them are deep threats, some are just excellent possession receivers.

Wouldn't mind snagging Jordyn Tyson

I am being biased here because of my loyalty to Illinois football, but I genuinely think QB Luke Altmeyer has the goods to be a really good NFL quarterback. He has tons of snaps, tremendous leader, mobility, solid arm strength, excellent accuracy, and just a winner.

I think Ty Simpson, the Alabama quarterback, is interesting.

He played some games a couple of seasons ago, but this is really his first as a fulltime starter, even though he is a redshirted junior and is going to be a 23-year-old rookie. That is because he has been sitting on the bench behind first Bryce Young, and since Jalen Milroe, so it is not until now that the team is truly his. In an era with NIL-money and transfer portal, I think it says a lot about a players (especially a QB’s) character to stay loyal and wait for his chance.

After Alabama lost the season opener, Simpson has been great the last three games, and it was especially after the last one (a big road win against Georgia) that he got on my radar. Crazy that an Alabama QB can being overlooked, by the way. By all accounts, he is also a great leader of the team.

My first rule when studying quarterbacks is that they must be in full command. It must be noticeable even for a viewer. That they have total control of their army, and that they signal that “it”-factor that no one have ever been able to describe. Ty Simpson has that. I am not sure Murray does, and I want that for my team. Further, he is simply a good player with both great arm strength, technic and athleticism. Sometimes it is even noticeable that he has a very good understanding of the game, in a way that you don’t normally see with college-quarterbacks. He is more advanced than usually at that stage.

Obviously, Alabama will play a lot of great schools, so there will be many opportunities to study Simpson more.

He’s one of several QB who are displaying talent. I can’t recall this many guys the scouts had to track. It’s exciting and productive if you guess right. Look for several late round QB selections.

He and Antonio Williams of Clemson are the top 2 rated Wr's right now. I'd take either one of them. Depends where we pick but I'd love a draft that had one of them in the first round and Branch in the 3rd round if he comes out.

Of course we are going to need a RT for sure too and if we take a QB that would be in the first round

Penn St loses to UCLA, who were 25 point dogs. Allar's draft stock has completely plummeted.

Allar is just not him. I'm a UCLA basketball fan not a football fan but UCLA is terrible this year and Allar looked pedestrian in the part I watched. He's got the size and I'm sure someone will take him because of that but just doesn't do it for me

So many good WRs it’s unreal. Great pool depending who comes out. With NIL money getting silly, it’s not the sure deal it once was.
