So that would mean Dortch and Weaver make the 53 and it's still only 5? Maybe there really is a WR trade in the works?

The Cardinals are looking at bubble players and figuring who can clear waivers and who can't. It's a game of cat and mouse.

I've thought about trade options as well. Also, the Cardinals might like someone on the waiver wire.

Fehoko surprises me I guess they think he clears waivers not sure he will what he would bring to us, size, ST play and experience he can bring to another team too. not getting the Dortch situation his usage changed dramatically after Kliff got fired. Last year of Kliff Dortch 54 targets 52 catches because they were mostly screens or short passes. Last 2 years 91 targets 61 catches. they are using him differently asking him to do more downfield, his YPC is up but it's not like he's been explosive. His KR stats just aren't good enough IMO.

My guess is they think he and Weaver fit the role they want better than Fehoko does even if Fehoko might actually be a better player?

I think they are keeping 9 DTs which means some other position will get the short end of the stick.

Reference the waiver wire. We're probably too far down the list to get a decent player, but if a vet is released he becomes a FA and can sign with anyone. So there might be a WR that we expect to be released. And that's who we're after. JAG.

from what I saw I think we are 16 in the waiver order. The bad side is a couple divisional opponents are ahead of us with some of the same needs.

The last draft order dictates initial waiver claims.

The chance of getting a guy you really want is slim.

It could also be the Cardinals are keeping more DBs who will fill the role Fohoko was playing on STs.
