with mcbride drawing coverage on the other sideIt’s a failure if they don’t. A 6-7, 275 TE, who is more athletic than the LBs. That is a scary mismatch

Our WRs are borderline cutable outside of MHJ and MO was drafting Riemann. But you’re wrong. They can’t easily be found and if they have receiving ability it’s a great asset.
Reiman should be one of the last conversations about a roster spot.
this is a run first offense - the run dictates the success of our play action - in today's nfl that means running two tight ends a lotOur WRs are borderline cutable outside of MHJ and MO was drafting Riemann.
No one is saying cut the guy but we have way more need for WRs that make a difference on this roster.
not when your OC wants to run 12 and 13 and focus on the run.Our WRs are borderline cutable outside of MHJ and MO was drafting Riemann.

And when the run is taken away we don’t have an offense. I don’t want to see a repeat of what we saw offensively in the passing game and I fear we will.this is a run first offense - the run dictates the success of our play action - in today's nfl that means running two tight ends a lot
if higgins could block edge rushers and linebackers and the speedy honeybadger budda baker type blitzers tip would likely be out of a job
then tell kyler not to turn the ball over? those weren't on tipAnd when the run is taken away we don’t have an offense. I don’t want to see a repeat of what we saw offensively in the passing game and I fear we will.
LOLthen tell kyler not to turn the ball over?
he did alright until the bye - then 8 of his 11 interceptions came during the second half of the season - you know - that time of year when kyler actually is turnover prone - i think he only threw 5 or 6 tds with those 8 picksLOL
K1 is not turnover prone and never has been. That is not the issue with this offense.
If you’re a real running team, that means the defense can’t take the run away. And when the run is taken away we don’t have an offense. I don’t want to see a repeat of what we saw offensively in the passing game and I fear we will.
Sure it does. The run is effectively off the board once you go down by 10 points. If you’re a real running team, that means the defense can’t take the run away.
I seriously don’t know what to say anymore.Sure it does. The run is effectively off the board once you go down by 10 points.
I mean that’s the only message to take from how Monti and Gannon have approached this offseasonI seriously don’t know what to say anymore.
It’s like people didn’t watch the team last year. We played great with leads or against teams that also couldn’t pass. We are heading towards the same fate this season and people are like ‘we’re good on offense’.
It's a possibility that our offensive game plan for the past two years, heavy on the run, was in large part due to our questionable defense. Now with a better defense (fingers crossed) our offense might change.not when your OC wants to run 12 and 13 and focus on the run.
would be nice if we would emulate the niners offense...we could be the modern version of what they were a few years ago...heavy run, but with explosive pass plays...and an aggressive defense that can get you the ball back. It's a possibility that our offensive game plan for the past two years, heavy on the run, was in large part due to our questionable defense. Now with a better defense (fingers crossed) our offense might change.
Well, that an easy take when you choose to ignore half of the facts.I seriously don’t know what to say anymore.

I’m remembering the first game against the 49ers and the game against the Dolphins differentlySure it does. The run is effectively off the board once you go down by 10 points.
The defense is an unknown until they prove otherwise. The offense scheme was dictated by protecting a horrible defense last year. That is no longer the case.
You must be because they passed their way back into those games.I’m remembering the first game against the 49ers and the game against the Dolphins differently
elijah jones madden 26 rating is 71Again, it is more of a usage question than anything. Is it worth using a 3rd rounder to draft a TE who only plays 40%-50% of snaps? WR3 only plays about 55% of snaps and WR4 plays less than 20%. How many resources are you willing to dedicate to those roles?
Tip has been good at what he is asked to do so far (rookie sliding scale applied here). That isn't part of the value calculation. On the flip side, outside of a few RBs, what player that was drafted later has outperformed Tip. TBF, the Elijah Jones whiff is more of an issue IMO but until better players begin to emerge, the convo is moot.
I am guessing this is a bit but I am not familiar with it.elijah jones madden 26 rating is 71

These things are unrelated. The strategy of a coaching staff who is 12-22 should probably be questioned until proven otherwise.for those still questioning rieman's value - petzing and gannon doubled up on the blocking tight end position when keeping travis vokolek on the 53
