he did alright until the bye - then 8 of his 11 interceptions came during the second half of the season - you know - that time of year when kyler actually is turnover prone - i think he only threw 5 or 6 tds with those 8 picks

would be nice if we would emulate the niners offense...we could be the modern version of what they were a few years ago...heavy run, but with explosive pass plays...and an aggressive defense that can get you the ball back.
all it would take is some redesign on our pass plays. Scheming guys open and getting them the ball in space. we have guys who can be explosive in space.
then instead of turning into Justin Jefferson, Marv only has to turn into Brandon Aiyuk....then MikeWilly or Zay Jones have to be Deebo...ish

Well, that an easy take when you choose to ignore half of the facts.

The offense ranked 11th in yards. 12th in points. 7th in rushing offense. 18th in passing offense. Facts!

The team has a lot of young developing players - two starting pass-catchers in MHJ and Reiman will only improve.
The offense scheme was dictated by protecting a horrible defense last year. That is no longer the case.
The 3rd WR was suspended to 6 games and never got integrated properly in the scheme.

Will that make this passing offense dominant? No, but it will improve from 18th.

And that is enough IMO. We do not need to be a top passing offense. I do share your concern for not playing well against good teams. But IMO, the improvements on defense is a much bigger component for the team to make a leap than the passing game.

Again, it is more of a usage question than anything. Is it worth using a 3rd rounder to draft a TE who only plays 40%-50% of snaps? WR3 only plays about 55% of snaps and WR4 plays less than 20%. How many resources are you willing to dedicate to those roles?

Tip has been good at what he is asked to do so far (rookie sliding scale applied here). That isn't part of the value calculation. On the flip side, outside of a few RBs, what player that was drafted later has outperformed Tip. TBF, the Elijah Jones whiff is more of an issue IMO but until better players begin to emerge, the convo is moot.

Madden ratings ain't what they used to be.
They used to focus on getting it right because once the disc's were burned it was done.
But with all the digital updates these days they don't have to focus so much on precision

These things are unrelated. The strategy of a coaching staff who is 12-22 should probably be questioned until proven otherwise.
