Carter showing why he struggles to make the roster 2 straight punts he missed the tackle. You gotta be able to do special teams as a 4th RB

What does the line of scrimmage ass whooping we got tonight say about the new Oline and Dline coaches we brought on? Are the players that much worse or the coaches can’t elevate some of these guys

Only 1 DL who played in this game makes the 53. Maybe 1 or 2 OL. Not much to take away from those two units other than a clear view of where the talent drops off .

Absolutely nothing.

Pre-season game with basic schemes where one team played 2nd stringers sprinkled with 1st stringers and the other played 3rd stringers sprinkled with 2nd stringers.

Add that the broncos returned the most player from last year in the league - meaning arguably best integrated the back-ups

I don’t feel like we have seen much QB development with our current staff. Kyler. Tune. Both seem like the same guys in year 3.
Tune just doesn’t have the mental part of the game down and is generally inaccurate. I don’t think Kyler is ever going to get better regardless of who coaches him. Jayden Daniels leapfrogging Kyler in just his first year under Kliff is very damning.

Our deep depth is deeply bad.

As I mentioned last week, our depth on the oline looks weak.

Tune is not an nfl player. He may be the most inaccurate checkdown Charlie I’ve seen in awhile.

No passrush.

Thinking we could get even a 7th rounder for Xavier Thomas is funny. He’s nothing.

Brisset looked good.

Fehoko looked roster-able.

Gillikin looked good.

I think it’s just the reality of the NFL that ithe talent drop-off from 2nd to 3rd stringers is this great.

What you look for in a game like this are players that can stand out against relative competition like Burch did last week.

Very few did today, but a few questions answered.

Who stood out (a little bit):
Gaines is OL #9.
Fehoko and Weaver are clear #5 and #6 receiver (which order I do not know)
Back-up TEs
Crawford

Who didn’t:
Carter and especially Carter’s salary will not make the team nor PS this year.

Pappoe is not making the team.

Simon is not ready to push for a starting role. He should have stood out for that to happen.

Players like XT and Burke showed their relative value IMO. They are probably good enough to be on the team as back-ups and could play and play decent when surrounded by 1st stringers. They cannot shine on their own. They are at #48-#58-ish on the roster and not potential stars.
