So that basically ensures another move will happen. I know waiving Goodwin should get them under the tax, depending on his guarantee date, but I doubt that happens. One of Royce, Grayson, or Richards will be moved. That's an easy number to manage as far as returning salary also, a small gap like that is negligible to most teams.

Yes, this could be a prelude to a trade, either now or later. Allen, O'Neale and Richards are good candidates.

Good move. I don't think he was given a fair shot with us before. As a 3rd Point guard this is a good get. Shot 38% from 3 last year which was a nice improvement.
Agreed. And plays tough defense. Not exciting but solid vet. Also won’t constrict any moves we want to make.

Gerald Bourguet thinks if the Suns do bring in Jared Butler it will be on a non-guaranteed contract.

Gambo has the same opinion, it would be a non-guaranteed contract, if the Suns add Jared Butler.

At least Mark and Josh didn't damage their relationship enough to cause issues with future players while negotiating Beal's buyout. I worried about that and was reminded of Sarver's issues with Klutch players that reached a boiling point with Bledsoe and Earl Watson.

This is also a good signing, but really creates an issue with guard minutes now.

I would love if we could make the Kuminga deal now, because there really is no minutes for all of Green, Grayson, Butler and Brea

I haven't watched Butler much at all, but his stats are respectable. The career assist to turnover ratio is 2.8 to 1.1.

If a trade can be made, Allen and/or O'Neale could be on their way out.

The lower risk would be adding Precious Achiuwa, but I don't know the Suns thinking.

15 is the max and we have 15 right?

We don't need to trim to 15 for a while. It's like 2 weeks before the season starts. Teams are allowed to carry 20 in the off-season. That includes two-way guys so technically we can add 2 more since we sit at 18 total.

I like both of these signing. They are both good defenders, though Butler is not as good, and they can both shoot, Butler better than Goodwin, and they can both handle the ball.

These are solid signings. Some comments by fans underneath the tweets that announced them would indicate otherwise.

Now, if the Suns really wanted to make me happy, make a trade or sign a starting power forward.

We got 3 months to make that happen so they can string you along for a bit before moving down your checklist. ;)

I honestly don't mind heading into camp with who we have. The right attitudes and a mix of potential/development should be fun to see.

“Marcus Smart was the guy.”

Yes, I just finished listening to the podcast.

Goodwin and Butler will compete for the third point guard spot behind Booker and Gillespie.

The Suns roster looks solid except for the starting power forward spot, but at least they have players on the roster who can play there. It's not where they have to panic.

Of course, if the right trade or free agent came along, I'd be more than happy. Even two-way forward CJ Huntley is interesting.

I was listening to Gambo before these moves were made and he was actually making sense saying the Suns should take their time on filling the last couple spots. There's buy outs ahead, potential trades, etc. Then I get home and I see they picked up some, meh kind of pick ups.

IDK anything about the guy, but Nigel Hayes-Davis supposedly can play PF. I don't remember if it was kellan Olsen, or Brendan Kleen who was saying that. I did hear good stuff from Olsen on his play. Olsen seemed impressed by his play.

Torrey Craig is still available, right?
