especially when his mechanics have always been ...... unique

Gannon's whole take to coaching is about harping on detailed, fundamentals. I doubt his approach excludes the QB.

Meaning: if there are fundamental QB things like footwork, etc that need to be improved -- I am confident that the coaching staff has emphasized it. And, K1 seems very bought in to this coaching staff.

Kyler's improvement will be about if he can, not about if he is getting the right advice or not.

An interesting take, thanks.

I guess I'll get roasted for this but personally I don't think his fundamentals are that bad. I mean, his completion rate was 68.8% last year with 7.1 YPC. If anything, that says good fundamentals.

I hope we agree K1 doesn't need to improve that much on his overall, global stats from 2024. Some more passing TDs, sure, and more rushing yards and TDs. Just modest improvement in those three areas would push him into the top ten in the league stats/performance wise. Easily.

Kyler was dead-on league average in YPA.

I don’t think his fundamentals are flawed; I think he has a heart condition.

Great to see Murray doing this. However, it is super disappointing that only Marvin Harrison Jr, Trey McBride, and Higgins joined him. That's a terrible look for Wilson especially

Wilson and the others were there. The 3 mentioned are just the ones in this single video.

Our season seems dependent on MHJ being a true #1 WR. McBride is obviously a great option but we desperately need more production from the WR position, and I don't see anyone else close to a WR1 on the roster.
Nope. We had an offense capable of making the playoffs last season.

Our season is dependent on the defense improving from middle tier in the league (we were actually 15th in yardage and 21st in points last season) to upper tier (say, 11th and 14th).

I would love the passing offense to improve from 18th in yards and 20th in TDs last year to more like 12th and 15th, but I don't think that's necessary to the goal of making the playoffs.

Or candidly being even close to a #2… Higgins, Addison, Devontae smith, waddle, Pickens (head case but laughable in difference between him and MW), Godwin, Thomas/Hunter, Samuels/Mclauren, Puka/Adams, Jameson Williams.. even the next tier is a different talent level - Mooney, Josh Downs etc. sure I’m missing some in the first tier.

Maybe not "dependent" but it would certainly help a lot.

I think we really just need MHJ to take one normal step forward.

If he can do that, then yes, I think on paper we're a playoff offense.

For the most part, yes. The defense has the ability to make the biggest strides and therefore the biggest impact. MHJ being a "true WR1" would help the offense in a lot of ways, but it would be less impactful.

Only eight of the top 15 passing offenses (DET, TB, MIN, BAL, BUF, LARM, GB, KC) made the playoffs last year.

Eleven of the top 15 defenses (LAC, PHI, DEN, KC, MIN, GB, DET, PIT, BAL, BUF, HOU) made the playoffs last year, including nine of the top 10 defenses.

Agree..we were also likely good enough last season to win a playoff game if the defense was up to snuff.

as fans, folks get all excited looking at individual performances..which is cool...
but we often forget that the difference between the best offense in the NFL and the worst is usually less than .5 yards..less than 5 seconds....less than 5 points...
Thats why they say "any given sunday" and why even though having a 1500 yard runner is exciting, most coaches would prefer a guy who can get you that hard 2
