This is my hope and concerns me about his relatively slow start in summer league.

Yes, I know it's not time to be concerned.

However, it got me looking up Mark Eaton who didn't even play in an NBA game until he was 26.

Mark Eaton? MARK EATON?

That dude was maybe the most immobile center I have ever seen. Maluach isn't a great athlete, but he is 20 times better than Eaton.

You need to chill. He has played two summer league games, he will look much better as time goes on.

Did you look at the video? Mark Eaton had a good career with the Jazz.

I hope for much more from the Khaman at the ripe old age of 19, but the NBA has changed some.

Mark Eaton was a 5 time All Defensive Team, 2 time Defensive Player Of The Year... but Maluach is 20 times better than Eaton? Did you mean he's 20 times more athletic than Eaton?

I was hoping Khaman would compete with Richards for the backup center position and perhaps secure it this season.
Maybe by the end of the season, but I think that’s asking a lot. I could see us throwing in the towel midway through the season and making the backup just get him minutes. But as long as we are competitive I suspect he’ll just spot minutes. Unless ish has told ott this is a throw away season and just ready the young guys.

Mark Eaton succeeded in an era when being big was enough. I don't think he would have survived in today's NBA.

The safe bet is for us to run with the vets at first (Allen and Oneal pending). Then I could see this regime (Ish/Gregory) saying hey lets play the rookies in a rash 180 move. The smart thing would be to let the vets lead and properly develop the youngsters.

As a reminder.

The Suns are scheduled to play the Timberwolves today, Wednesday, July 16th, at 2 PM Arizona time.

It should be televised on NBA TV and AzFamily.

some hippie!!!! :thewave:

Sounds like you are perfect for the job. Stay out of the lane, make safe passes and lob it to Khaman. You'll be fine.

1) PGs bring the ball up and make a pass. Or are they supposed to dive into the middle first thing?

2) Look for Fleming and Maluach. Hope they go with Maluach, Fleming, Dunn, Brea, BirdGangThing. Bring Oso off the bench with Huntley.

Announcers don't realize the Suns were better without KD.

I think Beringer will become a good player for the Wolves given time.

The announcers must not realize Fleming can play power forward and center.
