I missed that Carroll is the SL coach. Glad to see it though. The guy's story is inspirational. He found out he suffered from liver disease in college and still managed to overcome it and make it to the NBA as a legit role player. Good dude, from all I've heard.

I've always liked DeMarre Carroll as a player and thought he would look good in a Suns uniform. His toughness and size reminds me a bit of Jae Crowder.

The hairstyles don't hurt the comparison.

Khaman says he is still figuring everything out, since the NBA is different from the college game.

He is very articulate in describing the situation, especially for an 18-year-old.

The same here. It's like I'm going back to when I first fell in love with the game. I enjoy watching the young players develop and the enthusiasm they bring.
this is where i appreciate having dunn and oso - our new rookies seeing their success and confidence - dunn and oso are the new style - fast intense relentless all that good ish - if we enjoy hearing what dunn says about maluach just imagine how much maluach does - i remember book and kd praising dunn in the same manner less than a year ago - i think it did wonders for dunn - and oso - he's taken a lot from dunn's game this offseason - the similarities in their defense leaves me grateful of their size difference cuz it's hard to tell them apart

so nice to be talking about basketball and not our downfall - fleming hasn't even taken the stage yet and oso just set the bar incredibly high - same with nhd - nhd is a straight wildcard - no idea how the euro success will translate - we didn't have any power forwards last year this is nuts

It's like the Suns are forming a brotherhood of young players which will complement Devin Booker's style of play.

if you don't want iso ball you probably want oso ball - not 4 guys standing behind the arch watching the 5th - no - 2 guys behind the arch and 3 guys in motion - oso is good at beating his man to the basket without the ball and has the hops to finish

It might be your lens...
He knew the stupidity of that mix up where we thought we were getting him instead of Marshon. It was one of the most ridiculous trade bumbles in NBA history. That is what he was smiling about. BTW. Now we know that the problem was not on our end. He thought he was coming here at the time. That tells us that Memphis used the mix up as a ruse to get out of the deal. There is no other explanation now. That little smile and comment says a lot.

Watched the highlights from summer league. I did not have high expectations for Brea but he looked legit, not only from the outside but also handling himself in the midrange. He actually reminded me a lot of Book.

Dunn after the game said his first summer league he was afraid to shoot and make mistakes. Dunn thinks Brea and Maluach are ahead of him because they were not afraid to shoot or make mistakes and played freely.

Brea, not just a shooter but a scorer. Maluach, what a motor, and he kept his head while struggling against a good center, and ended the game strong. That was real patience and maturity for an 18 year old on display by Maluach.

I also watched all the interviews, rookie introductions, etc. Brian Gregory is starting to grow on me. Gregory is not boastful, and can even joke about himself. I see that so far the alignment aspect of what they want the Suns to be is really in process. Not just lip service. The guys they have brought in seem to fit the mold of what they are trying to achieve. It was only one summer league game, but even the invited players were playing with this new aggressive defensive style. Again, it's still early, but seeing one game, it seems like they are serious about the new style of Suns ball.

It’s always the next game is true when talking about the first game of summer league play.

Show me this kind of effort in the next game and I’ll move from an eyebrow up to wide open eyes.

Some comments from Gerald Bourguet about the game.

Huntley was a nice surprise. I really liked what he did on defense, even if it's not super flashy nor stat sheet filling. Active hands, lively body and seemed to be in the right place most of the time. Happy to have him on a 2-way
