Gambo deleted the tweet saying Sweeney was out of the mix after he got confirmation that he was the fourth candidate

Ott is not even the top assistant but he has the Michigan State connection. The would be an absolute terrible hire for the fan base and the Suns. He is the least qualified of all the candidates.

sota might be our kd trade partner - they could do everything but score last night - ant loves the slim reaper - I bet he'd go there too

Utah owns most of their good picks. They also traded Towns because they don't want to pay the tax.

I always forget about this own goal moment this season.

We are so screwed moving forward with this group. This feels like we’re back in the early 2010s… but worse because we have none of our own picks.

Gambo updating his info. Apparently Sweeney is still in the mix. He was the missing fourth candidate. Final four appears to be: Quinn, Ott, Bryant, and Sweeney.

Scotto has Bliss as the fifth.

*Gambo confirmed Bliss as the 5th.

Nobody on that list is commanding the respect of our established alpha stars. More incentive to trade the expensive vets.

Oh boy was I wrong about this years roster. I thought how can anyone stop us. We have three great scorers who can create for themself and easily put up 25 ppg. Plus we started the season great. Fast forward through a whole lot of disappointment, and here we are.

Answer me this. Will we get defence, athletisicm, size, this year, or are we rolling the standard Suns style of undersized, slow and weak on the inside? Skill is fine but not when you're too slow and small, and giving the other team the advantage in shots attempted, free throw attempts, open threes... Can I get the number to the new GM and give him a call about our "recent" history?

You might want to wait until the Suns hire a new head coach and then call both of them at the same time.

If you get lucky, maybe you can speak to Mat Ishbia as well.

All signs point to adding defense, athleticism, and grit. (And hopefully some size; How long has it been since we've had a real PF?!) At least the FO has recognized and talked about this. We'll see what they're able to pull off with their current assets. Of course KD is the big one. Do we even get half back of what we gave up for him? We'd be lucky to as we gave up WAY too much at the time.

First things first with the new head coach. I just hope it's NOT the Michigan State guy because that won't be merit-based.

I'm not sure but with our limited draft options and the new cap preventing any decent signings we're destined to shop in the discount bin for many years. I'm sure we can find tall players and athletic players and even defenders but whether we can find any that can have an impact at this level, that's doubtful.

I would hope we go after younger players and try to develop them into rotation players but that will take time and patience, don't know if our front office or fans are willing to go that route.
