Almost every player has a price but I am not rushing to get rid of Jalen.
while I tend to agree...and up until last year would have been all for getting rid of Budda and keeping JT...JT showed a dip in play last year...and this is the last season of his contract.
with Rabbit showing well last season, then drafting....Crawford?...this year...seems the writing is on the wall that we dont expect to have the leagues highest paid safety room much longer.
Why not get some draft assets for JT?

Set an example for the other players

All that dough you are getting paid you had better be putting in the work

Good for Vrabel to call him out

From a personal standpoint, I need DTD to beat out Jalen because he is a better player. I don't need to manufacture a spot for him. Secondly, Jalen has played with a legit pass rush maybe 1 season. I am curious to see what he looks like with a decent front and better CBs beside him.

Hendrickson is due to make $16 million this year. The Bengals, we’ve heard, have offered roughly $28 million per year. Whatever the amount (and, as importantly, the structure), he wants more.

He had a chance to get it, when the team gave him permission to seek a trade. That went nowhere, because no one was willing to give him what he wants (especially since they also would have had to give the Bengals something in return).

I would give Cincy a 3rd and 5th...or maybe even a lone 2nd...
If Trey would sign for 3 years for 70mil with the third year being a void year...and all the 2nd year guarantees don't kick in until the fifth day of that league year.

Would get him basically 35m a year if he produces...but it protects the team if he doesnt...maybe make 30m as signing bonus...so we would have 10m dead money in 2027...2026 also if we cut him after year one.
If he produces, keep him basically year to year...

I would prefer our youngsters get snaps..but having a 15+ sack guy across from sweat for a couple years would be awesome...and imo would make our window wide dafuq open

Adding on to what you’re saying, I’m happy to finally have good safety depth and I’m not seeing Crawford as a viable option to get snaps outside of ST.

It's funny when I ran mock draft simulations, I kept taking an ILB and S at some point just because I like having depth there. We've seen what happens when guys like Andre Chachere get a lot of PT.
