Yeah total wash. Like I said not close

Turnovers is a BS stat for stars it goes hand in hand with usage rate. Lebron James is the all time turnover leader in the NBA.

If you look up the all time top 20 turnover list in the NBA only 1 guy isn’t a first ballot hall of famer.

woooooooooow. lol okay

As the poster-boy for irrational man love for a sports figure, I'd like to offer that you are veering off ever so slightly into that territory Finito. Welcome! :) lol. j/k.

Okay, how about this:

Give each player the ball 90 feet from the opposing basket. Who's going to be able to get their shot more consistently? SGA by a mile! Jokic much more dependent on other players to get him the ball, and I think that matters. SGA way better in transition too.

But just between you and me, in terms of the MVP award, I think Jokic has a reasonable case for this year.

That Shai is going to win comfortably though, should offer some support that SGA is the more complete player.

I do admit that Jokic is super skilled, strong, and has an extremely high basketball IQ. Love (hate) the way (OKC) players bounce off him as he rolls to the basket. It's very anquan boldin like. Agree he's a HOF player.

If your argument is that SGA is a better ball handler, I guess that is true - so yes all by himself SGA can get more shots for himself.

But that is not how basketball is played. Jokic can always catch the ball within 15 feet of the hoop, and from there he is about the most capable guy in getting off a good shot I have ever seen.

I have to say after watching this series, I would now vote for Jokic for MVP. SGA has looked far inferior, and has really not done well in getting good shots at the end of the game.

Really? Seriously?

I'm cherry picking a little, but in the three games prior to last night, Jokic was like 25 for 75 shooting the ball. Really, really awful and terrible.

I'm not saying Jokic hasn't out played SGA in the series (would love to see each players series stats (including TOs), but changing your MVP vote after Jokic stinking up the court in games two, three and four seems a little unfair.

Jokic stunk up the joint going 44/15/5 in Game 5 with only 2 turnovers?

Really? Seriously?

If you look at the playoff stats, they are actually pretty close. SGA has a slight edge in points, Jokic leads in rebounds and assists. What is mildly interesting to me is that they at #7 and #9 in points scored in these playoffs. Of the six above them, only Brunson is still playing. the other five top scorers in the playoffs have already been eliminated.

teams are doing everything they can to shut down the other's best player - this is when the aaron gordons and mikal bridges can shine

Jokic is the MVP, imo the best player in the league as well.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team fail their Star like last night. How many combined points in the 4th did Murray, MPJ and Gordon have like 2/3? It’s was ridiculously bad. They were getting open shots just ice cold

It's never Jokic who is the problem, always his team fails him. He can be great and a detriment to his team at the same time. He does too much so if he doesn't single handedly win the game he loses it for Denver.

SGA outscores him by 3 points a game and it's "a total wash" lol. Okay.

How about turnovers per game? That a "total wash" too?
Yo crimson, you’re on a board with no affiliation to either team and I’m guessing everyone here not from Oklahoma would tap jokic over SGA at present. We get your passion and general inability to accept that Oklahoma and all athletes therefrom are not the center of the universe. Maybe step outside and recognize objective perspective?

lol this immediately disqualifies your opinion. It’s like you’ve never seen jokic play.

Ridiculous since I've been nothing but objective in the entire conversation.

Sorry if you're having a bad day, but go peddle your papers somewhere else ouchie.

Joker was 4/6 in the 4th quarter the rest of the nuggets were 1/15 in the 4th

Are you arguing Jokic was hurting his team last night? Cause that is ridiculous

Got to love the appeal to emotion to try to convince you you're wrong. Shai being the MVP this year seems to show it's not a clear that Jokic is head and shoulders above Shai. I guess when Denver is sent fishing and Jokic is at home with horses though Shai will be able to prove why he's still standing this postseason.
