If by somehow this kid is there at 35, draft him. MHJ/Odunze and this kid, along with Wilson? Damn.

He's starting to creep into late 1st round territory, though.

man..ya know... I would make this pick for one reason... those Great Daned McCaffreys are tough as poo.
I remember watching Ed play for the broncos... skinny little dude, but he just would not go down.. he was wirey and hard as nails and played every down like the game was on the line.
CMC has shown to be much like his dad...... and generally speaking when little brothers play the same sport as big brothers...they play together and little brother has to toughen up to play with the bigger kids...McCaffreys are football players and its likely this guy is the toughest one.

not to pick on you Brit --

but i think the board has collectively identified 30+ players that will be gone by pick 27

Yeah I was thinking this before.

There are the 3 QBs.

4 Edge - Latu, Turner, Chop and Verse

2 DT - Murphy, Newton

4 CB - Arnold, Mitchell, DeJean, Wiggins (although Wiggins weight may drop him)

7 tackles - Alt, Fash, Fuaga, Mims, Latham, Guyton, Fautanu

1 IOL - JPJ

5 WR - MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Thomas, Mitchell

1 TE - Bowers

That's 27. But obvs if we take MHJ at #4 we don't want it to be one of the WRs that fall to us. Cards don't seem interested in CB either.

the 15 who no-way they last until #27:

Qbs: Williams, Maye, Daniels
WRs: MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Thomas
TE: Bowers
OT: Alt, Fash
Edge: Dallas Turner, Jared Verse
IDL: B. Murphy
CB: Q. Mitchell, T. Arnold

Then there is the "it would be a surprise if they are there at #27" group

QB: JJ McCarthy
OT: Fuagua, JC Latham
Edge: Latu

That leaves this pool of candidates to be there at 27 (and heck -- i think its likely one of them will be around for 35 as well) --

WR: A. Mitchell, T.Franklin
OT: Fautanu, Mims, Guyton
IOL: Barton, JPJ (C from Oregon)
DL: Newton, D. Robinson
Edge: C. Robinson
CB: DeJean, McKinstry, Wiggins

assuming WR at #4, then you have 11 players above to choose from, each one meets a need.

Eh the Cardinals did talk to Mitchell and Arnold. I'd guess the Cardinals are more scouting for #27 and #35 than they are for #4.
