I think the organization thinks Goodwin is not that much of a drop off from Payne. Just my opinion I thought Payne was no more than a back up PG. I like his energy and he is a fan favorite but I never saw him starting.

I gotta defend Fisher a bit. He was a true late bloomer. He got better the older he got. At least on the Lakers. He was really good at the end of his career. I loved watching him play.

I've always admired teams that could run their offense even without a point guard on the court.

Maybe this has kept the Suns from taking the next step over the years. They need a passing offense that the whole team can run.

The Suns never really ran a .5 offense as far as I am concerned. The ball stuck with certain players.
