It's not protected information. It's not a HIPAA violation or situation. It's likely the NBA and/or each individual team has records of their vaccinated players.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jalen Rose knows him personally, but I don't know how Patrick would know, maybe there was an interview somewhere in the past 4 months where CP3 revealed that information? You'd think we would have heard of it.

Maybe this is just precautionary, we know he isn't going to have to play for at least 4 more days. If we had a game today or tomorrow, I wonder if we would have seen the same thing Lebron got.

If he is vaccinated then I don’t think he needs to be quarantined from exposure.

Dunno what nba protocols are, but this is something from February from CDC:

In the updated guidance, the CDC said such quarantining is not necessary for fully vaccinated people within three months of having received their last doses as long as they do not develop any symptoms. "Fully vaccinated" means that at least two weeks have passed since a person has received the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine
