We need a batted balls stat

He doesn’t really have a lot of balls batted down. I want to say he’s middle of the pack I think

Last I heard Cam Newton at 6’5”was leading the league in balls batted down.

Here is this year...with Cam and Ben right behind him, I still wouldn't say height is the main cause.

i thought Cam had a comfortable lead on everyone. Either way Cam, Big Ben and Rivers are all 6’5

Would be interesting to see when those are batted down, seems to me most of Kylers are the short drops where he's just so close to the LOS it's more likely to happen. We seem to do lots of short drops so it sort of follows.

Height is a factor on some yes.

thanks for this

my 100% accurate, airtight attribution:

1. Mush rush. I think its obvious watching defenses that they often set the interior two pass rushers to rush upfield in a controlled manner, staying in front of Murray to close off escape lanes -- and raise their hands.
2. Height. plays into some of 1 above
3. Short drops / quick throws

Height is part of it but I still say his main issue the first 2 years is we throw so many passes with him close to the LOS. I know he's not behind Center much the first 2 years but we do a lot of snap and quick throw stuff where he's very close to the LOS when he threw it. That makes it easier for the DL to jump and deflect the pass
