Just traded up and got Brandon Aiyuk. Errrrrrrrr.

They're gonna be a load again.

Trading Buckner and getting a 1 (Kinlaw) and resigning Armstead with the savings. They're stocked.

Aiyuk is a one-route WR with unideal NFL speed to run that route. Glad SF burned three picks and a first to get him.

I can't say enough good things about Brandon Aiyuk. He has those long arms, moves and speed to take it all the way.

I really like the SF draft. If I were a SF fan, I would be happy.

I’m pretty happy with those two picks. Aiyuk was a guy pretty high on my flop list and Kinlaw will be hard pressed to even get close to Buckners production.

And losing sanders will help us.

All in all..... they went cheap and lost a bit of power on the d line. Time will tell though.

That's pretty much their draft, they only have a 5th, 6th, and 7th left.

5th-156
6th-210
7th-217

They gave up a ton, I’m not that worried about it. Any player they added seems intimidating because of the overall strength of the team but the lost a lot of draft capital here

that move was strange, they could have taken better WR earlier and better player with less downsides. But we will see. I hope they regress a bit.

I would like to be in the playoffs this year, maybe even a deep run.

Aiyuk is a pretty good fit in KS’s offense.
They needed Mims IMO. I actually think Mims is the better prospect.

Hands, Speed, Contested catching, even explosiveness seems better.

Had a better Broad Jump, 40, and was within 1.5 inches of Aiyuk's vertical. 38.5in to 40in

I am personally shocked they gave up capital to move up for him. And as much as I love Kinlaw, losing Buckner and Sanders is a net negative for me.

I don’t know enough about Mims to say that SF “needed” him, but KS creates alleys through misdirection better than anyone in the league. Aiyuk is a great alley runnner.

Just posted this in another thread, Kinlaw is a major medical risk. When people were saying we might pick him I started looking at him. People say he plays high, inconsistent, takes himself out of plays. But he's big and tall and freaky athletic.

But the guy already had hip surgery for a torn labrum, that's an injury that tends to be a body type thing, some guys are just built that way. The Shipp brothers and Kevon Looney in basketball all had the same injury and surgery and in every case the doctors said they were pre disposed to the injury. Kinlaw said he'd been playing hurt for awhile the doctors told him he'd eventually need surgery. He also has back and knee issues, he lost 40 pounds after he got to college after JC but before that he was too heavy and it was not good for his back and knees. NFL.com has a blurb on him, several teams flagged his injuries, nobody pulled him off their board but several considered him a bit of a medical risk. For me the hip is scary, he's a big guy that plays high already, those sorts of injuries tend to be career limiting
