Overpaid for what he has done, but short term get out if he doesn't keep improving I wanted to franchise him and draft a possible replacement but this contract doesn't really stop that plan

But isnt this contract front loaded 29 mil guaranteed in the 1st 2 year of a 30 mil total guarantee that gets us off the hook cheap later if he doesn't perform

Yes it’s a very good contract.

I believe this deal makes him the second highest paid player on the team for next year. Anyone know what the cap space is now? The sites aren’t updated yet.

It looks like the Cardinals will address a different need than the offensive line in the first round.

Maybe a defensive tackle or a wide receiver.
