For tomorrow’s game vs. Phoenix:

De’Andre Hunter (right index finger sprain) is questionable.

Trae Young (left hamstring pain) is questionable.

Alex Len (low back pain) is doubtful.

Bruno Fernando (personal reasons) is out.

Jabari Parker (right shoulder impingement) is out.
I have ALL of these right now! And I am still going to the gym tonight.

WIMPS!

This starting line-up has been a disaster the last two games. Why do they keep going back to it? Are they deliberately trying to give themselves work in playing from behind?

Could it be the "triangle of communications" between the managing investor, General Manager and Head Coach? :sarcasm:

Jeff Hornacek can tell us all about it.

The sad thing is that this time around, unlike with Hornacek, we actually have a coach who knows what he is doing, only for him to be undercut by an incompetent GM and an even worse owner...

So now they won't even try to augment their talent beyond the crap they already have on their own G League team. SMH...

Just a few months ago we were fantasizing about the possibility of landing Zion and Jah was our consolation prize. Instead we ended up with Cam Johnson and Dario Saric. That fall in the draft really put us back. Jah would have been perfect next to Booker.

It's tough to look back on the last 5 or so drafts. All of that losing and all we have to show for it is Booker and a paper tiger thus far with Ayton. It's really astounding.

Amazing... and puts an incredible amount of pressure on the 2020 draft.

Go back even further, a full decade.

All we ever had to show on top of that is a few underwhelming years of Markeiff Morris before he became a cancer, the same with TJ Warren and a few bad years of Alex Len. Those are the only other guys who even made it through their rookie contracts here.

And Oubre was a total accident. Plan B to Dillon Brooks.

To be fair, Dillon Brooks would have been a fine return for Ariza and a solid back-up to Booker. He'd be our 3rd best guard.

And yet another unathletic player who can score but pretty much not do anything else...

It’s a Catch 22.

Suns are perceived as a loser because they are owned by Sarver. To be perceived as a winner they must win. They will never win under Sarver.

Lions have to have food....

For good teams to win there have to be bad teams that lose. Lambs don’t magically turn into lions.

Perhaps the most frustrating thing about the Suns this year is watching teams leapfrog us in the rebuilding process. It's slightly more understandable last year with Sac as they've had multiple down years and struggled to find the right group of guys. This year, with Memphis, Dallas, New Orleans and Charlotte starting their rebuilding process after Phoenix and already in the same state is frustrating. Dallas I guess you could call a reload, but our future isn't nearly as bright as we all hoped it would be.

Yeah, it's frustrating, but I don't think the Suns are that far back. They did a good job plugging some holes in the roster, but they still have a couple of glaring needs. Last year, they didn't have a point guard, they didn't have a power forward, and they had very few actual NBA players. Now we are talking about needing a backup point guard, a backup athletic big (PF/C), and a shooter or two. Cam is gonna keep improving, Bridges appears to be getting better as well. They just need a backup point guard and another athletic big.
Bender, Chriss, and Jackson picks are what really slowed the Suns down. That's three high picks that did not turn out to be even remotely serviceable NBA players.

Having Saric as starting Power Forward isn't filling a need. His scoring average this season is the worst of his career.
His rebounding is the second worst. As are his assists. His 3-point % is his third worst. Based upon each team, each
season. And the Suns are his third team in two seasons. We need a starting Power Forward.

"The Suns did a good job plugging some holes" is hardly a good job overall.

You forgot a starting power forward and back-up power forward. And Cam is getting steadily worse. What with a basis in actual reality makes you think that "Cam is gonna keep improving"???

In the end, the only hole on the roster the Suns plugged was a stop-gap starting point guard, which is something that should have been done two years ago. Everything else is on the level of last year.

his 6.2 rebounds IS his average, so how do you say "second worst" of career???

his points are down but his minutes are down, fg% is near average, 3pt percentage is down on career average. He's down 2 points from his career average.

He's doing okay but he shouldn't be starting, that's not on him. He's not really to blame for all our woes.
