I’d rather not waste draft capital for just this year. Guy is a FA after this year, we aren’t winning this year this move seems dumb to me.

The cards are not going to offer him a contract. Why would he sign one? He would be the 3rd best back on the team next year unless they decide to move on from DJ.

I personally think Morris should’ve been the active RB based off his experience & yards for his production. That #22 was a lost soul yesterday on the field

Reports were dolphins wanted a 3rd for him the other day.

It’s a conditional 6th that could become a 5th.

This is dumb. Keim signed two RBs last week and didn’t even activate one of them. Plus, we’re not going to the playoffs and should be on the other end of trades like this.

Drake is a 1/2 year rental and we may lose a 5th round pick out of it.

The #AZCardinals have traded for #Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake, handing Miami a conditional 6th round pick in 2020 that can become a 5th rounder, source said. Given injuries to David Johnson and Chase Edmonds, AZ jumped in this morning.

I'm not talking about a contract extension, I'm just sure there's at least some sense of paperwork to be filled out. Want to go with "enough to read the playbook once over" instead?

The point is, the turnaround time for a new player to get in the field has some bumps in the road, and by the time Drake gets his bags packed and flies across the country from Miami, it's going to be Tuesday basically.
