In my opinion this list is hella optomistic.

1. Realistically Irving is not interested, Russell will be matched unless the nets find a pg they like better - only Kyrie could possibly fit that bill(so in other words it is extreemly unlikely) Brogdon it's at least 50/50 he resigns with the bucks, and there is a 90% chance several teams contemplate offers to him.

So for those 3 I say 10% at best suns could get one of them.

2. These 2 could be available - they could also easily both not be available. I am not excited about either one. Actually with the right offer we probably would have a good shot at getting Lonzo - but would that be a good idea? He is injury prone and not a good shooter, and the price for him is probably more than he is worth.

3. Garland and White. Neither is ready to be a distributor like so many think we need. White is a bad ball handler, and frequently is just as out of control as Josh Jackson. I do not think he is any kind of answer to our PG hole at least not for a couple seasons if he can develop. Garland while I think he can be a good scorer/shooter right off the bat is not a classic PG. Most likely the Lakers are going to take him at 4 anyway.

So the way I see it, only Lonzo, and White are actually realistically obtainable from your list. And in my opinion neither will adequately fill our PG hole.

I actually am more in favor of going after somebody like Collison or Patrick Beverley as a stop gap because I don't see any long term answer available too us unless we get real lucky.

Gimme Ball for his playmaking ability, he is a very good passer player. Ge could feed Ayton, that's who you target

Jeff Teague:

currently injured after ankle surgery. Then there's this:

Jeff Teague reportedly exercised a player option in his contract Friday to remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 2019-20 NBA season.

Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic reported the update. Teague will earn a $19 million base salary next season and be eligible for unrestricted free agency in 2020, per Spotrac.

Damn. That's one option gone...unless they take Tyler Johnson in a trade...

Looks like its Booker and Bridges as the back court for the Suns. Deal with it

I think we may see a lineup of Booker, Tyler, Bridges, Oubre and Ayton together, maybe even starting. And we might see Bridges playing a little shooting guard but I doubt it happens much with Booker opposite him.

That line-up maybe wins 15-20 games next year.

Booker at Point Guard and Bridges at Shooting Guard for 34 or so minutes a game. The only NBA level talent that offers is a defensive specialist alongside Booker. And both out of position.

Bridges at Point Guard and Booker back to Shooting Guard. That puts Book back at his position. With a defensive specialist alongside him. But is Bridges suddenly an NBA starting Point Guard?
Or would Book wind up being the de-facto Point Guard again AND our best Shooting Guard, with Bridges trying to become a distributor to outplay NBA Point Guards. SOS-DD.

Isn't it time the Suns remove the phrase "dysfunctional" from their decade-long DNA instead of "dealing with it"? Why would you as a fan advocate the status quo? Nine years of failure. How long must it go on?

Now that we finally have a Head Coach with NBA experience, let's deal with progress. It is up to Jones to give him a balanced roster with the potential succeed.

Nah. It's not ideal but I think that lineup with a solid bench and good health wins around 33 games next season. We won 19 games this season with health problems and a much weaker lineup most nights.

I would start Oubre, Warren and Ayton with those two. With a healthy Booker this unit will out score opponents. 3 players out of position BC will have a fit.

I'd bet we join in a Laker trade and get Lonzo this off-season , he's value hasn't been lower and might not be a terrible trade if we don't give up alot , plus it'd be sweet to be apart of the new Laker tradition of letting all their good players go before they develop

As a small ball lineup, I like it a lot.

The Suns will need to add a power forward and a point guard for the Suns to take the next step.

No doubt but with very little trade bait (that we're willing to use), the 6th pick in a very weak draft, not much cap room, a questionable bench and in need of 2 starters, I just don't like our chances of doing everything we need this offseason.

If we had the first pick we could have drafted Zion and spent multiple picks to perhaps draft Morant and our roster would be in great shape. Or, with the 2nd pick we could have drafted our PG and used picks and players to try and land a PF via trade, draft or FA. As it is, I think we have to look at band-aids rather than solutions for at least one of the two spots and maybe both.

I doubt if the Suns can dramatically improve both positions either.

I'd settle for one if the Suns could significantly improve one position and get average play out of the other position. I think there is more immediate help in the draft at the power forward position and in free agency.

Average play is a significant improvement ...at either position...

We need to hope that our draft pick hits. I know that whoever is selected won't have the sort of potential of Amare back in the day but Amare was much further along than anyone thought he'd be in his 1st year. If our pick can step up and contribute like your average starting PG or PF then we could be in a really good position next season.

There isn't anyone who stands out as that sort of player though so it'll have to be a surprise, sort of like a Donovan Mitchell type of pick, unheralded entering the league but finds his niche quickly doing something he wasn't called to do much of in college.

I think the Suns should look at the draft like they are building their depth.

Kabengele and Grant Williams would be solid picks. It's almost like the Suns could trade down slightly and still get some nice players.

I think they should look as if they're filling a need. They know what they want and need from a PF and PG, find whoever checks the most boxes and take him. Potential shouldn't be a big factor so much as what they believe they bring to the table immediately. If all things are even otherwise then look to the players potential. If we end up with a solid role player then we can do a lot worse than that and we have in the past.

I guess that could be building depth, I view it as filling a hole. Since we have 2 spots open though and those spots are so different, I don't think it's that bad of a decision to go with who fills our needs the most rather than best player available. If the best player is a wing, for example, when will he play? Odds are he would still be #2 or #3 on the depth chart behind at least Oubre and Warren.

I know we should look to trade TJ but I view TJ as Oubre insurance until we have him locked in.

Our 2nd round pick should be BPA but instead of best player in 5 years, take the player who you feel can help us the best right now. That should always be the plan with 2nd round picks now that we have Ayton. I don't mind drafting project bigs if you need a big but we have a franchise C right now so drafting projects to back him up won't help much.

I mostly agree except I think Warren is already gone.

Sometimes BPA also feels a need. Power forward is definitely a need and that seems to be where the depth is at.

Almost every draft you select BPA. Usually there's a guy that is talented enough you should take him even if you already have a guy at his spot. This draft since everyone is about the same talent level at our pick, then I think you pick need. My preference is PG over PF. I think we have more options on the PF market. I am hoping for a miracle. Maybe Bender puts on 20 pounds of muscle and starts shooting 40% from three! Maybe we pick up a couple guys free agency to start. That's what I am really hoping.
