Not to get too nit-picky as I’ll take any hit this team can produce...But, even that hit by Goldy was on a nasty, pathetic swing... The pitch was up & away and most hitters would take that pitch to right. Goldy put a nasty swing on it and lucked out...

It's good to see the D-backs score some runs. I hope that playing the hapless A's will build some confidence. And break some bad habits.

I've always thought that their Manager Bob Melvin (former Bench Coach and Manager of the D-backs) lacked the strength of personality to be the guy at the top.

In his TV interview with his mentor, Bob Brenly, today, he did not come across especially strong with his "I think"s and "Y'know"s. At least he does not pick pimples on his face when he interviews any more, acting as nervous as a 12 year old.
