No. The Bears chose Marc Trestman over BA, which made BA available. He fell into the Cardinals' laps.

Funny how MB is touting his and SK's patience "with the process" back in 2013 (by waiting to hire hire a HC when several others had been hired in front of them) when basically they got out-hustled by every other team and could not close the deal on their top choices.

But it worked out, at least for 3 years.

Bettcher deserves a chance to interview. His Defense has been consistently good over 3 years.

Man, if that's a "consistently good" defense we are never ever going to get close to winning a Super Bowl. This consistently good defense this year got outscored 159-72 in 1 PM EDT games. 65-16 by the Rams. 50-33 in both home losses on MNF, TNF. 31 points to Tom Savage.

Another name to add to the Cardinals’ coaching search is Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong. His interview will take have to take place after Atlanta’s Wild Card game, which is Saturday.

Which team will not grant an interview permission ? Steelers or Cardinals?

He is still in playoffs and his contract does not expire until the end of the season.

Per Jurecki, Cards don't want to interview Haley. Haley would like an interview with Cardinals. Tells me he is on the outs with Steelers.

IIRC, he had agreed in principle, but wanted to sleep on it...but that night it was reported he had been hired, prematurely, and he bailed out of town the next day because of it.
