I think contact can start on Monday, with no contracts signed until Wednesday

This is what I found, sounds like teams can start negotiations with FAs at 4pm today but cannot sign any contracts with them until 4pm on March 15th. It also appears trades can be executed after 4pm on the 15th.

March 7: Beginning at 12 noon, New York time, clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2015 player contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 15. However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 15.

March 15: The 2016 league year and free agency period begin at 4 p.m. ET.

The first day of the 2016 League Year will end at 11:59:59 p.m. ET, on March 15. Clubs will receive a personnel notice that will include all transactions submitted to the league office during the period between 4 p.m. ET and 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March 15.

Trading period for 2016 begins at 4 p.m. ET, after expiration of all 2015 contracts.

April 22: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign Offer Sheets

April 27: Deadline for prior club to exercise Right of First Refusal to Restricted Free Agents.

I believe 4PM ET teams can "officially" contact agents. So hopefully there is a ton of buzz in about 4 hours and 14 minutes!!!

Broncos are going to lose Brock to Houston....dumb dumb move by Denver
Houston has a call set up for 9:01am to Brock's agent.
I rooted for Denver in the Super Bowl, but being in Vegas and seeing how all their fans act....I hope they fall off the deep end this year (49er style).

Manning retires and Brock to Houston? Doesn't leave them with much to work with QB wise does it.

Incognito re-signed.....

the possibly biggest name in FA this year has been silent... Alex Mack

strangely,...a team in the NFC West who needs a center upgrade badly,...has also remained silent amid all the legal tampering hoopla...........

I thought I heard somewhere that Brock was signing with the Broncos, but then the last few days it was like that never existed? Why would they let him walk? Doesn't make any sense.

it is a dead QB market with several teams that have a need...Manning is officially retired. Brocks agent would not be doing his job if he didn't do whatever he could to maximize the payday...trying to get a couple teams to bid against Denver maximizes Brock's payday... everyone knew this was coming

So far this entire free agency is appearing to be a big whiff for Keim

This free agency that does not even start until tomorrow?? That the one your complaining about?

It's a bummer that we apparently aren't getting a pass rusher but the chicken little posts are amusing. There are a bunch of teams that have a ton of cap space and they need to spend it to get to the minimum so SK is not over spending for a mediocre pass rushing crop in FA.

SK will make some solid to outstanding signings in FA that will strengthin the team. He already warned us that getting a pass rusner in FA was a pipe dream.

Tamba Hali was only 3 years 22 million with 12 million guaranteed. We have plenty of money to beat that deal.

You must not realize how it works. Starts tomorrow OFFICIALLY! However many deals have been struck and agreed to. Including darn near every decent pass rusher available our most glaring need.

I think he wanted to finish his career in KC. At least according to some tweets.

We tried overpaying JPP and he turned down more cash to stay in NYC.

Nothing you can do about it sometimes.

I don't know if I would call it chicken little. The reality is we lost to Carolina and we will have to beat them to make it to a Super Bowl. And Denver was only able to do that with a great pass rush. We can't beat them by shoring up our line alone - we NEED pass rush.

Granted, no one could have expected JPP to be a complete moron and turn down significantly more money to leave NY for ONE year and instead opt to stay with a team that will be lucky to break .500 this year.

That being said we have to do something. And there aren't many somethings left to do now and it's much much quieter than I ever remember under Keim's watch. Maybe not his fault but still extremely worrying.

That's the biggest joke the NFL has allowed to happen continually for quite some time now.

the dude with no knees that wanted to stay where he was??... or the one handed guy we outbid his current team on but he wanted to stay where he was? How about the 30 something didn't produce squat last year guy who wants 20 mil a year,...that guy??

Pretty names, just like little sparkly toys

You must not realize that impulse buyers make bad choices and bidding wars are bad for teams but go ahead and continue to chase that laser pointer lil'guy, the rest of us will just wait to see what actually happens when free agency opens.
