At a friend of my son. I was a single father back in the day and my son had a lot of friends who loved sports and the Beatles. My home became a haven to many of them because I loved having them around and when I was out of town they all had a place to hang.

Fast forward 25 years and my son still hangs out with all of them, fantasy baseball, fantasy football, you name it. They always invite me to all their events. My daughter in law thinks it is weird that I am invited to all the gatherings. I tried bowing out after she voiced her opinion but they all called me and said things like " you are the dad I never had or I wish my dad would have a beer with me and play fantasy football with us". They call me Pops and make me feel young again.

It is great my son has all these friends from high school he still has fun with.

Somethings wrong with me I'm dreading the game. It's like you get that perfect thing and then you don't want it anymore. I have been so ready for every game. I'm dead for this one still at this point.

Your daughter-in-law needs to check herself before she wrecks herself, cause its bad for her health. :D

I'll start watching it and then a hour into the game, I will have to go to a scout court of honor(I'm the scout master). Then when that's done, I will then be going to a piano recital for my 2 kids. So basically will be having to look at the score the rest of the game on my phone. DVR is a life savior, but I can't help myself on checking out the score on my phone.

Why don't they have a viewing at UOP on the big screen? Seems a missed opportunity.

I'm watching the morning game with some buddies at a bar up the street, and then my dear sweet mom is going to pick me up with my dad and usher us off to Miller's Ale House. We'll sit at the bar, she'll probably curl into a ball and pray that everything goes right.

I'm trying to play it cool. We'll see how I am around noon.

We had originally planned on a huge bash with friends coming over and rooting hardcore for the Big Red. After the blizzard yesterday (32 inches), everyone is snowbound. Looks like it'll be just my wife & kids planted in front of the big screen. Just hope and pray we don't lose our power.
