Johnny Football is a puzzlement to me. He would certainly be classified as a running QB and he can throw very well on the run in either direction. My concern is in the NFL he may end up with a lot of injuries sort of like RGIII and he is not nearly as tough as RGIII. I hear he comes from a wealthy family which may make him stay in college and not go for the big bucks immediately. It will be interesting to see where he is drafted. At this point I do not see him as a #1pick. Perhaps a late 1st round pick. It is hard to argue with his numbers but he does have some horses as receivers.

He is all about the big bucks. He hates the NCAA and its prohibition on paying players. There is no doubt that he will leave after this year.

Aside from having to walk on eggshells and have his every move scrutinized and cleared for potential NCAA transgressions he's not exactly fond of the fishbowl that is College Station

There are a lot of pro-comparisons to the "new" mobile QBs .... although the guy he reminds me most of with his style of play, his approach both on and off the field, etc is Brett Favre ...... not perfect as Manziel is more apt to get down field while running and doesn't have as much arm as Favre .... however, both had plus mobility, looked to throw off their movement with the ability to run if defenses allowed it, willing to make those risky cross body on the run type throws, supreme confidence in their ability to throw the ball under any circumstance, enjoy the party and attention and play the game "like kids"

Actually, our secondary will only be so bad because the pass rush will disappear. Won't record a sack for 6 of our next 8 games.

And don't worry about Palmer. Our line will make sure he doesn't finish the season in one piece. In fact, we'll be holding auditions for a starting QB in the parking lot before the Week 17 game.

Also, Feely will get the yips on those rare occasions when we do get into field goal range.

We will be favored in the majority of our remaining games, the games we SHOULD win we have been winning because of our defense. IMO we win vs Texans, @Jax, vs Rams, @Philly. Leaving us to find 2 more wins among @Sea, @ Tenn, vs Indy, vs Niners. No hope against Seattle... but the other 3 are winnable, especially if the Niners have nothing on the line.

If we win 10 games and do not make the playoffs that will hurt and is a likely outcome. Looking at the East the wild card will probably win 9 games. It has really been a fun season no mattter what and I have looked forward to every game including especially the last two. We are at last getting some respect. How long did we sign Palmer for? He has been the real deal for us and probably surprised many of us. I know Fitz is really happy he is here and will probably keep Fitz here for his entire career.

I read the CAP for next year will likely be $126 million. Think about this that AROD has a $226 million dollar contract which is near double our entire teams pay for one year. I think these numbers are right? I also have not bitched once about our GM or owner.

If I am on the 2 or 3 yd line of the enemy I am going to give the ball to Mendenhall in most cases if I am running the ball.

Our HC is sort of doing what he said. About 50/50 on the run and pass. We have the best running game we have had in years and Palmer has been Warner Light at least. Add to that a group of TE's that are dynamic and we are 9-5. Of course it goes without saying our defense has been really good. So far we have not had to use a backup QB. Do we have one that can fill the void if needed either this year or next?

I have no idea what they might draft by position next year. We may be to low to get a starter type player. Hope we can just get lucky and get one the many unknown QBs that appear to be good this year. Since some of the guys we recently signed are older veterans we may need to look at filling slots for them as they may only have 1-2 years of good play left. How long did we sign Dansby for? He want be cheap if he is not already signed for next year as he could be an All Pro. What ever. He has earned what ever we pay him. AZ could turn into an attractive place for FA's.

Would of been nice if the Cowboys would of won today. Need Detroit to lose games.

The announcers were saying the Cowboy loss may have been their worst loss in history. On the last intercept of Romo the play called in was a run and he checked off to a pass. The Cowboy star receiver left the game with under 2 minutes to go and went to the club house. I guess he was pi--ed off. I also guess Jerry Jones was more than just pi--ed off. Romo's days in Dallas may be numbered. He may just need to be on another team. Still the most valuable football franchise in the NFL.

it has been a long time since I have seen a Cardinal RB bust a long ass run....that was fun to watch....there towards the end I just "KNEW" the Az Cardinals were going to show up and lose that game...but they didn't...

But like some others...I just "KNOW" the Cardinals will win just enough to keep us from being able to draft the stud player we need.....but maybe these guys will find one later in the round...a QB and an OT(both studs) and this offense will be a blast to watch for years....

I will take 9-10 wins any day and enjoy the year rather than win 5-6 and draft high.

I like your optimism. However for this to happen the Cardinals are gonna have to stop beating themselves...i.e Carson Palmer and his bad habit of completing passes to players that don't have a Cardinal on the side of their helmet.

I think Palmer has played lights out for the past 6 or more games. Probably one of the best in the NFL during this period. He is clearly a starting caliber very good QB if he has the weapons around him including a running game. He also does not run backwards like the dude we got from the Eagles who was one of our all time big bust.
