Cards 10-6, Wild Card bound.

We will be favored in the majority of our remaining games, the games we SHOULD win we have been winning because of our defense. IMO we win vs Texans, @Jax, vs Rams, @Philly. Leaving us to find 2 more wins among @Sea, @ Tenn, vs Indy, vs Niners. No hope against Seattle... but the other 3 are winnable, especially if the Niners have nothing on the line.

With Palmer and Sowell i just don't see it. Still some very impressive stuff from the D and Mr Ellington.

I love that we are developing the running game. Having a weapon like Ellington is huge, and Taylor is helpful in short yardage situations. Even if you are just using the running game to chew up clock, its huge. 9-7 and just missing the playoffs. Something to build on for next year.

Keep working on the offensive line with draft picks, and get a young qb without stretching for one.

we're going to finish 8-8 again, ruining a chance at a top pick, and keeping us out of the playoffs, per the norm.

Would of been nice if the Cowboys would of won today. Need Detroit to lose games.

won't need it, johnny football will slide in the draft and we'll pick him up as our qbof, maybe swope can even get healthy and he and manziel can light it up in the nfl, ellington and taylor seem like they may have something to offer
we need to shore up the o line and get a good outside linebacker and pass rusher
i see lots of playoffs in our future,

"championship" :D

it has been a long time since I have seen a Cardinal RB bust a long ass run....that was fun to watch....there towards the end I just "KNEW" the Az Cardinals were going to show up and lose that game...but they didn't...

But like some others...I just "KNOW" the Cardinals will win just enough to keep us from being able to draft the stud player we need.....but maybe these guys will find one later in the round...a QB and an OT(both studs) and this offense will be a blast to watch for years....

I like your optimism. However for this to happen the Cardinals are gonna have to stop beating themselves...i.e Carson Palmer and his bad habit of completing passes to players that don't have a Cardinal on the side of their helmet.

I've been beating that 10-6 drum since preseason. Nice to have some company...

Forever the optimist.

Yeah, you're right...poor play at the QB position, a bad Oline, a team that is 1-8 against its division opponents since last year & an offense that struggles to score points offensively have nothing to do with it! :mulli:

Pass your bong around for everyone to take a hit on ;)

It is possible we could only lose to Indy and Sea but not likely I say 9-7 which could be the last WC like that we have the tiebreaker over Det and Car

You said it in your thread title, it is a crazy prediction.

Happy for the win, but we beat a 2 win team whose best WR was Harry Douglas. We beat a team we should have so let's not get too carried away.

We just beat a team that was predicted by some to go to the superbowl this year. But yeah, we are a terrible team.

I would pass you the bong but you probably wouldn't take a hit anyways. ;)

i see an outside shot at 9-7, but 10-6 is pretty unlikely.

that being said, I'm pretty stoked at being 4-4 and looking at another couple winnable games coming up.

Missing their top 2 Wr's and some other guys.

A win is a win and we played very well but that wasn't the Atlanta team people picked to go to the Superbowl.

I'd just like to get through ONE game without Palmer throwing a pick, but he looked better today.

The team the Cards beat today doesn't even resemble the potential SB team they had last year, given their injuries so don't even go there!

Btw I would trade the entire Cards roster for the Falcons roster today because they have a QB that has a chance to get his team to future SBs. The Cards basically stand no chance until they get one of those guys, regardless of how great their defense is.

My thought is framed more around the how weak the remaining schedule is. Obviously any game can be lost, but there are a lot of games that we SHOULD win, and thats taking into account us having a bottom 5 QB, bad o-line and bad safeties.

Our next 5 opponents have a combined record of 13-24, and 3 of those 5 games are at home, and the road games are @Jax, @ Philly, two teams that have lost a combined 16 consecutive home games. That is an unbelievably soft schedule.

That said, it is a crazy prediction because after all we are the Cardinals. But its just crazy enough for me to believe in!

Yeah... I'm pretty happy where we are now. The schedule looks weaker than it did in Week 1, and the defense is much, much better than I expected at the beginning of the year.

Still, 10-6 would probably be a Wild Card tie. You have to win division games to make the playoffs, and that stink bomb in St. Louis to begin the year will probably keep us out of the playoffs. Going 10-6 and 1-5 in division would be pretty interesting, though.

Right now we're the Good Bad Team, particularly at home.

Yea not happening. Two of our remaining games are virtually unwinnable (SF & SEA). And I suspect the team will have a few slip-ups between now and the end of the season.

In addition to which, one of our biggest issues going into playoff seeding is conference record all four of our losses are to NFC teams, and I suspect at least two more conference defeats. That's a lost tiebreaker if we're competing for the #6 WC spot with a team that we didn't face this season.

I said 6-10 in the beginning, but I'll admit 7-8 wins is a reasonable goal for this squad.

Whether its 8,9 or 10 wins I can see us not having a losing season and that in itself is nice to see after the last few years.
